I was looking for a Chile Cheeseburger and ended up on the website for El Jacalito. Called in my order for a Green Chile Cheeseburger with fries and a side of Green Chile Pork. Picking up my order was as simple as using any drive-thru...speaker and window. The burger was juicy, well seasoned, and I'm guessing close to a 1/2 lb patty. The green chile made its presence known but not at all overpowering, instead dancing nicely with the griddled beef. The bun was lightly grilled and sturdy enough to not fall apart under the weight of the patty, chile, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickle. Fries were perfectly salty and appeared to be fresh cut, some with bits of peel. I would have preferred them to be a bit more crispy but that's not a complaint as I finished each and every one. The side of Green Chile Pork is a pretty good sized portion and, along with a small salad that I made, was enough for a late dinner. The pork was plentiful and tender, creating a velvety union with the green chile, that packed a nice punch of heat!More

My wife and I had breakfast there and I was surprised to see a spam breakfast burrito I had to try it! Great taste, large size, good green chile burn...and a very friendly and helpful waiter.

Chile relleno was excellent and the tacos were delicious. Place is a little run down, not uncommon for New Mexico

Great tasting burgers - with lots of avocado! It’s an authentic looking building with a tiny unisex restroom in the back of the building. Great customer service. Reasonable prices. Thank you!

I went in on Saturday afternoon. I had one of their green chile burgers for lunch. Added bacon and cheese. It was a really great burger. I took an order of enchiladas home for dinner. They were okay. I'm not used to the rolled enchiladas...idea and the meat was different then what I'm used to. Won't get that again, but I'll try something different next time.More

Ordered a burrito though Lodel. Excellent burrito, Al Pastor. I've had their burgers before, really great. I keep meaning to try other menu items, but the burgers are so good.

We went to get Tex-Mex, but were persuaded by the reviews to get their burgers and their homemade fries. I had the Swiss/mushroom/avocado burger and it was wonderful. Husband had the bacon burger and loved it. Table service was fast; server was great. The comp...chips and salsa were very tasty *WARNING* - the red salsa is very hot.A bit off the beaten path on Missouri, but very close to where we live. We WILL go back!More

The Mexican food is very tasty! For a Mexican spot, they make heck of a burger. I asked why are they so delicious and the guy said they hand press their patties. The fries are handmade and amazing. I forgot to take a photo because...the burger was so delicious and i was hungry, i forgot.More
