It is hard to please a big group, but Chilitos succeeded in doing so last night! Cheeseburgers with green chilis were devoured. The patty seemed freshly made (which I prefer over a perfect round patty from the freezer...), enchiladas the best my uncle has ever had he said! The beef flautas, gorditas, chile rellenos, steak tampiqueno, everything was just tasty.... More

based on spot on the "FOOD" signage on I-10, we stopped in hoping for authentic Mexican food and were well pleased with Chilitos. Earnest staff, friendly laid back atmosphere, plenty of parking, etc, all put us on flight path for a great road meal.

I had not been to chili tons in several years but decided to try it again. Went for lunch and I ordered the chicken salad and my husband ordered the taco salad. The "meat" in the taco salad is clearly not real ground beef. It is some sort of cheap institutional "meat" product. it was vile and tasteless with an... More

This is not a tourist stop, but a place where the locals go. If you want to experience an excellent example of Las Cruces style Mexican cuisine (which is different from anything you'll get more than 45 minutes out of town), try out Chilitos. The Red and Green chile offerings are both excellent. I'm a red enchilada with fried egg... More

Tucked a few blocks from the New Mexico State University campus in scenic Las Cruces, Chillitos is a tradition of slam dunk mexican cusine from early morning til late night. A recent early morn breakfast visit produced a quick serving of homemade chips and a salsa that, though kicky is flavorful and not runny. Follow that with full plate of... More

Have eaten two or three times and am never disappointed . . .had the enchiladas with red and green chile(Christmas) with an fried egg on top and it was to die for!! This is a great place to go if you want local New Mexican food. Always provide you with unlimited salsa(hot) and chips which is great a too.

Always nice to eat at a place that serves original food - not chain meals! Stopped here on our way through (based on billboards on the highway) and we were happy we did. Cold beer and hot meals - both great. Started with a bowl of fresh chips and salsa served in small bottle - very tasty! Had the chili... More

Right next door from Holiday Inn Express off I-10 where we stayed so thought we would check it out! The aroma actually drew us in! We loved their style of salsa! Greg said his red chili I pork burro was one of the best that he's ever had! And he has eaten a lot of them. I had the folded... More

Walked from hotel over, salsa was very HOT, COULD NOT eat it. When asking about happy hour the waiter had no idea so another server came to take our order. Tacos were good but enchiladas were over seasoned and could not eat. Not thinking we would go back, it was just so close to hotel
