I'd like to give this place 5 stars because I'm a regular and loyal customer. It's been awhile now that I notice the level of service dramatically declines evenings and weekends. I've come to the conclusion Ana Alicia or (Lucia?) is keeping this place from shutting down. Without her the food is not as good, the service is terrible! I've... More

I've been going to "The Hat" for years and it is typically my first or second restaurants when I visit LC. The have great combinations (number 5 is my favorite), great rainbow enchiladas. Parking is a bit tight, but you can park across Espina. Come a bit early or you will have to wait for 10 minutes or so. It... More

The Mexican food was very good. The location is not overly large, but the service was good and we were able to get a large party in and out in a timely manner on a Saturday evening. The nachos are good (and huge) and the rolled tacos are also good.

This was a really great place to eat. Recently they hired new staff and the service is not as good as it had been in the past. I have been there several times and my order has come out incorrect quite a few times. They blamed it on the new kitchen staff. I was there this evening and was pleased... More

In my opinion, El Sombrero has always been one of the best Mexican restaurants in Las Cruces. This quaint and beautifully quirky casual roadside eatery serves up a fun dining atmosphere. The menu is diverse, delicious and priced well. The ambience is a perfect fit. Try their lunch and dinner specials or just go for it off the menu. For... More

I am writing this review as a complaint. My wife and I have eaten here numerous times after discovering it several months ago. The food is great, that is not the issue. They have daily specials during the week and that is where the problem lies. We went there last Friday before 1 PM and both ordered their enchilada lunch... More

Best chicken fajitas around! The complimentary salsa along with the fresh chips to start you out with are amazing! Not too hot 🔥 But it has a nice little kick to it. For a Mexican restraunt there is really nothing in this place you could go wrong with. Amazing food and great staff.

7 min drive from our hotel. Ordered a #1 combo - gordita, taquito, green enchilada. Enchilada was bomb! The gordita was super yummy but I didn't care for the ground beef although that seems to be the norm for the southwest.

Food here is plentiful and tasty. Waitstaff is efficient and willing to answer questions at any time - check out their wine sangria and don't miss their enchiladas!
