Delicious food, plenty of vegetarian options, which are hard to find in Las Cruces! Great staff! Outdoor seating with plenty of shade and misters! I had the mushroom tacos and Salud! house salad and my husband had duck tacos with the house salad. Delicious! They...serve wine and beer.More

My husband and I were eagerly looking forward to visiting Salud! when they re-opened after the COVID closure. We had a reservation, and because of "social distancing" were put in a room with one other couple, at a table that would normally seat 8 people....Very uncomfortable and certainly not warm and inviting. It was uncomfortably cold, so we asked if we could move to the patio. That was much better ambiance, and more comfortable. The drinks were served in plastic (compostable) cups - ugh! That just doesn't work for a nice glass of wine! The silverware was plastic as well. They had prime rib on special that night, so we decided to order it, though we weren't sure how we were going to cut it with a plastic knife! The prime rib came out tepid - very unappetizing, so we sent it back. The next iteration came out just as cool, but was a better cut. The broccolini they served with it was ice cold, however, the roasted potatoes were warm. They offered to let us order something else, but by that time, we just decided to suck it up and eat it. No explanation as to why they were unable to provide a hot meal! The only good thing about the evening was the service. Leo was excellent and really tried to please, but with all the plastic ware and cold food, it left much to be desired.More

We went to Salud's in the late afternoon to try the tapas menu -- and we are glad we did. We had prime rib tacos, duck tacos, calamari, and the brie tapas. Each was excellent. The prime rib had a wasabi sauce which gave them...a delicious zing. The duck tacos were basted in tasty barbeque sauce. The calamari were covered in a very light crust and the brie wontons with dried cranberries and nuts were also wonderful. And to make it all perfect there is a very nice wine list with wine for every taste and budget. Our wait staff was very knowledgeable about the food and wine both. Service was outstanding! Last, check out their bread -- multicolored served with rosemary butter -- yummy!More

We recently went to Salud (again) with some friends for dinner. Beginning with the phone reservation, it was clear that staff was trained and resonated to customer service! Once at the restaurant, we had to wait for a very few minutes while they cleared and...set up the table which we had requested. It was really no inconvenience however, again, their concerns for our inconvenience was clear. The server checked frequently with us after the meals were served and the manager did as well, making sure that he knew which reservation we were. One of our friends found the chicken he ordered rather too dry for his taste and asked that it be sent back to the kitchen. It was done immediately and delivered promptly to the table much more palatable to him. Again, the manager appeared checkimg on his satisfaction which was perfectly accommodated. The food for the rest of us was excellent and we will certainly return to this comfortable and casual cuisine and setting.More

If you are looking for a place with a variety of menu items, Salud is the place. They have Mexican and traditional dishes plus some unique menu offerings such as the duck tacos. There is a separate tapas selection if you are not super hungry...or just want to share plates. Certainly, Salud has the best wine selection in the city and it's getting better all the time. The service is excellent, not fast, but the short wait is worth it.More

Though I’m a little sorry some people have to work on Christmas, I am delighted that Salud was open. We went with another couple and received excellent, cheerful service and delicious food at a very reasonable price. They advertised a limited menu for the day...but there were quite a few choices of entree and even desserts. The mint salad dressing was very nice. Between the four of us we tried three entrees - prime rib, beef Wellington, and a pasta with a tomatoey basil sauce. We all were quite pleased with our choices and there were several others, including a vegan dish. One man ordered wine - and they had a 25% discount o all the wines that day - and he pronounced it delicious, also. I’m not a oenophile but he seemed to think they had a wide selection. I’ve also been there before at a non-holiday and enjoyed those visits as well. Very personable staff and interesting options.More
