Just a block or two off Rt.66 and up the street from the famous gallup Indian jewelry and crafts stores, Jerry's is ground 0 for Mexican food fans. The long narrow restaurant is jammed from opening to close. Native American, Mexicanos, truckers, travellers, seniors and families.........it's a whirling dervish of all tastes mexican and you ask for it and you... More

Pros: This is the real deal for New Mexico style Mexican food. Very homey, smallish cafe with plenty of locals eating here. The atmosphere is totally local. The food is the reason for being here. Had a enchilada, tortilla and chili rellenos combination plate. All good. The chili rellenos were made within the hour and out-of-this world. Cons: Very few... More

All of the locals we talked to recommended Jerry's as their number 1 pick in Gallup and I can see why. Their huevos rancheros with green sauce is the best. The sopapillas are great replacement for tortillas which are usually served in Mexican restaurants. But don't be swayed by my words or other reviews. The best advertisement is the number... More

This restaurant was recommended to us. It may be the worse Mexican food we have ever eaten. If you are coming from Texas, Arizona, or California, you may find this Mexican food difficult to eat. It is greasy and tasteless. On the positive side, the service was excellent.

I'm not a fan of Mexican food, but this restaurant is awesome. I (not liking Mexican food) I ordered the baked potato "The Works" for $8.75. I was so surprised when the plate came and even more surprised by the taste... I cannot wait to go back through Gallup in order to try another item on menu.... small restaurant, big... More

This is 500th Trip Advisor Review and I'm thrilled it turned out to be "excellent". You don't go to Jerry's for the ambiance..... but everything else is fantastic (and the ambiance is just kinda fun). We were warmly welcomed. Asked a lot of questions and received great guidance on ordering. They provided small samples of red and green chile sauce... More

I found Jerry's in 2012 when taking a motorcycle trip west from VA to Los Angeles. In fact, I found it through Trip Advisor. I was not disappointed. I've been there two more times since then. It is a very small place (you have to walk through the kitchen to find the bathroom), but the staff is friendly and the... More

I ate here for the second time tonight. The first time I was here was October 2015 for dinner and the food was great. But I was so sad about tonight's meal. I ordered the chicken burrito which came with rice and beans, and asked for green chile on my burrito. The food was just so off. The chicken was... More
