Always a favorite when traveling to Gallup. I usually have more than one meal at this place when I can get in. Very popular. Great authentic New Mexican Food. Prices are reasonable for area and food quality is consistently good. Favorite choices have been enchiladas, burros, chili rellanos, tamales, and stuffed sopapilla. They recently have changed their menu and have... More

We would never have found this place without a SmartPhone! Driving thru Gallup NM, I googled "best places to eat in Gallup" and Jerry's Cafe was near the top of the list. We were road weary and hungry and Jerry's 'hit the spot!' The small space was crowded with locals...usually a good sign! Our waitress was very efficient and brought... More

Just after crossing the border between Arizona and New Mexico, we decided it was time for lunch and it was time to try some authentic New Mexico chile sauce. A young man at the Manuelito Area information center provided us with a listing of suggested eateries in Gallup. Upon checking the Trip Advisor ratings , we decided to try Jerry's... More

This is a very good quality Mexican American restaurant in the old town area of Gallup, NM. It is just a five minute drive from most motels at the interstate exit. When you arrive it seems a bit like a hole in the wall from the outside, but it is anything but that. Folks are very friendly, welcoming, and the... More

This was the most amazing meal ever! The chile sauces alone make the visit well worth while. And the fried bread is out of this world!! Huevos rancheros and Charelles special were tasty beyond belief.

The place was filled with chatter and glad handing. The food was excellent. Large portions. No alcohol which is fine. Don't remember what I had(July... More

Small on space, big on flavor and customer service. For a true taste of New Mexico this is your spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

We loved this place so much, we ate there on our way to Santa Fe and on the way home. Small cafe that is constantly busy...first time around lunch, we were lucky to get the last booth. The second time, it was 4 PM, and it was still busy. I loved their stuffed sopapilla. Don't miss this cafe.

Glad we took a lunch break at jerry's, very busy little diner, we took our servers recommendation and had cherelles platter and Miguel's platter, both we thoroughly enjoyed, the sopapilla was to die for. I really enjoyed hearing Native American languages being spoken at nearby tables too and I regret not buying some Native American jewelry from the 2-3 entrepreneurs... More
