Small mom and pop Mexican restaurant very popular with the locals. Food was good, service great. Located in the historic DT area just off Rt. 66. It was like stepping back in time. Only drawback was that local vendors went from table to table offering their goods to purchase during the whole time we were there. They moved on when... More

Jerry's appears to be a local institution, very popular with residents and visitors alike. The menu is classic New Mexican, all the standards and everything done right. I had a combination plate with a chicken enchilada and a tamale, both were good. I'm not a fan of Spanish rice but Jerry's recipe is a bit different and I enjoyed it.... More

The restaurant is like a step back in time, except that there is no smoking. The restaurant is located in the old downtown district. I selected this restaurant because of TripAdvisor. I arrived late Saturday evening and the restaurant was packed with a local clientele. Most of the menu items are Mexican cuisine. Though the food was not prepared as... More

We were travelling on Nov 2 2016 from Houston to San Jose CA and wanted to have dinner before heading to the Hotel for night stay. Tripadvisor search resulted in locating this restaurant for our choice of local food.. We could get public parking for our truck and walked about 300 steps for the restaurant. Our selection of two dishes... More

No frills, lots of smiles, big tasty food. No alcohol but that was OK. Sopapillas like eating a little cloud. Got stuck at the train crossing en route but figures it out and it was worth the effort.

Upon recommendation from a local we gave this tiny cafe a try for dinner. It was the best Mexican food we've had outside of Mexico! From the chili rellanos to the stuffed sopapillas to the warm sopapillas with honey for dessert, everything was delicious! We were only on town one night, otherwise we'd go back and try their breakfast too.

This is a restaurant that not only has outstanding food, but lots of character as well. Well-located in Old Gallup. Small in size and always packed with customers.

We always look on Trip Advisor when we travel and Jerry's Cafe came up as the top place to eat. NOT DISAPPOINTED. The ambiance was so authentic with the locals eating there. The green chili was outstanding, and the sopapilla's were the BEST. People came in with their wares. I bought a bow and arrow for our grandson and a... More

Small restaurant-10 reg.booths, 6 half booths. Menu reasonably priced , primarily Mexican food with a few American items. No chips or hot sauce came with the meal but does include a sopapilla. I was not a fan of the egg batter the chili rellenos were dipped in & the cheese filling was a little scarce. Hubby's fries were frozen. The... More
