We stopped here on a Sat after going to the Flea Market, it was pretty crowded but we still had great service and the food was plentiful and tasty. The owner came over and talked to us, she was very friendly. Liked it so much we went back my last night in Gallup. Again the owner came over and she... More

The family and I are nearing the end of a three week tour of the American West - and as you can imagine we've visited a lot of restaurants in the last few weeks! We were made to feel instantly welcome, the staff were quick and friendly. We got talking to a woman who I believe might have been the... More

The food and the service were great. We were on a family road trip and Gallup was just the right for us. The restaurant is easy to find and has some local flair. I will say that the jewelry merchants going from table to table was not very pleasant. Overall, very authentic food!

Been wanting to try for a few years, but can't not go to El Metate, just past here, right at the end of the block. Service was fast and attentive. Excellent chips and salsa. Got the combo plate. Taco was dry, enchilada was pretty good, tamales was previously frozen and sat in a puddle of water as did the rice.... More

Had dinner here with a friend. Quick service. Loved the food. I had the chicken fajitas, which was very tasty. The onion/pepper/tomato was very spicy, but very tasty. No alcohol, having a beer would be enjoyable with the meal. Had a few jewelry sellers, but it is no problem. My friend and were talking past closing time. The owner came... More

Nothing has changed here in decades the food is the best, fresh chips with warm green chilly salsa, I always get the Chilly Relleno's with green chilly on them and my wife got chicken enchiladas. The place is always busy with locals and visitors, they day we were here was no exception. Once they found out this was my wife... More

My wife and I ate here twice. We loved the food and the service was FAST! Be prepared for the walkin jewelry sellers. (Beautiful but unknown quality and content.) No alcoholic beverages but no rowdies either. The locals recommend and frequent the place. We'll stop here again.

This is a popular restaurant and it was full at lunch time. Service was good and fast and the food came relatively fast. I had a combination platter which included a tamal, an enchilada, pozole, rice, refrained beans and a sopaipilla. The enchilada was ok, but nothing special. The rice was red and watery, the taco had a lot of... More

Been in New Mexico for a week and this was one of our favorite meals. We split a chicken stuff sopapilla and it was plenty for 2 people. The green and red chili were both fantastic. We had a couple of beers, a soda and still ate for $20. It was packed when we visited on a Saturday. But they... More

This Mexican restaurant was a recommendation from our host. Even came with a 10% discount. Upon entering the restaurant we encountered only locals, which all looked at us like we were out of place. However the staff was very welcoming and even explained all the different dishes to us. While we waited a waitress came over and chatted a bit... More
