Flaming hot and still has flavor. Crowded on a good day; for a reason . The stuffed sopapilla is great as are the house fries. The lunches and dinners are great. The ice cream sopapilla is weevil.

This restaurant is always busy, but the staff work at high speed to get tables ready, so you dont have long to wait. They have the BEST red chili, beautiful shade of red. We never can get past ordering their Mexican food because it is soooo good, but seeing what is brought to other tables looks just as delicious. The... More

Food was good. Only shared nachos but they were very plentiful & tasty. Nice staff. Almost all locals at the restaurant... That says a lot.

We stopped here on a Sat after going to the Flea Market, it was pretty crowded but we still had great service and the food was plentiful and tasty. The owner came over and talked to us, she was very friendly. Liked it so much we went back my last night in Gallup. Again the owner came over and she... More

We were made to feel instantly welcome, the staff were quick and friendly. We got talking to a woman who I believe might have been the... More

The food and the service were great. We were on a family road trip and Gallup was just the right for us. The restaurant is easy to find and has some local flair. I will say that the jewelry merchants going from table to table was not very pleasant. Overall, very authentic food!

Been wanting to try for a few years, but can't not go to El Metate, just past here, right at the end of the block. Service was fast and attentive. Excellent chips and salsa. Got the combo plate. Taco was dry, enchilada was pretty good, tamales was previously frozen and sat in a puddle of water as did the rice.... More

Had dinner here with a friend. Quick service. Loved the food. I had the chicken fajitas, which was very tasty. The onion/pepper/tomato was very spicy, but very tasty. No alcohol, having a beer would be enjoyable with the meal. Had a few jewelry sellers, but it is no problem. My friend and were talking past closing time. The owner came... More
