My husband would not, could not, stop talking about the steak in Gallup for the rest of our cross country trip. And he is NOT a meat eater! We got there late, just before closing, but the service was attentive and superb. And the food was all you could hope for. Every bite delicious.

Was staying in town and went online and found this restaurant close by. Pictures looked great so checked it out and were very pleased. Steak was tender, plenty of food and attentive staff. Would visit again.

This was recommended by our hotel. Very good steak. Server, Stevana, was delightful and responsive. We split an 8 oz. sirloin which was perfectly cooked. The potato skins were delicious. We'd definitely recommend this restaurant.

We are traveling north and have eaten at hundreds of restaurants. The positives: very clean restaurant, friendly staff, quick service, great variety on their menu. They are a little pricey but the portions are large and we recommend sharing your entree.

This place isn't centrally located in downtown, but its in a safe place and a very nice building. They seated us five minutes before closing, but treated us like welcome guests. The steaks were fantastic. My friend ordered shrimp (in New Mexico, right?) and they were amazing. Service was great. In its category, and in this city, I'd give it... More

It is worth the price! Steaks were tender and cooked to perfection. Staff was friendly, polite, and always there! I dont think their prices are high compared to other restaraunts of this quality...the service is well worth it! Definity would return!

Great food, excellent service, but a bit pricey by local standards. Have had many great meals here, but always cringe a bit when I get the check. I'm sure visitors from more affluent areas will find prices fine.

This was supposed to be the best in Gallup, where, by the way, the gastronomic offer is quite limited. The place is sympathic and the meat was good. The service is far from profesionnal but friendly. Overall the prices are quite high.

Description
Not a chain, Badlands offers true New Mexico hospitality and taste- for those of you traveling through, it's the place where locals go when they want a meal that's truly a cut above the rest, and relax with friends and neighbors. There's no dress code...no pretentiousness...just beef that's been wet-aged for 21 days, cut in-house and cooked to order...combine these with an ice cold beer or excellent bottle of wine... and you've got the stuff a cattleman's dreams are made of!
