We had high expectations because reading tripadvisor. This place is awesome! Our Server Desiree Recommended the smoked pork chops. Omg she was right best pork chops in my life! She had great suggestions my wine blended well with the pork chops. I enjoyed how everyone works as a team. Every waitress came and made sure to pick up empty plates. My... More

We have eaten there a few times when we drive to Albuquerque, NM from home and spend the night in Gallup. We have had good food and good service every time.

We had a few issues for personal reasons and not having to do with the restaurant. Steaks were great. Even the cheesy melted bottle bread tray. Steaks were properly prepared and I did not expect them to be done very proficiently. But they were. So good. A very well deserved name of steakhouse. The onions were a bit odd, but... More

Dry aged steak was a joke. Sautéed onions on top of a $ 45.00 ribeye were a slimey goo and steak had no flavor. E mailed owner but no response. Don't waste your money on the dry aged steak. My wife's was good but mine horrible service left a lot to be desired

We had diner yesterday evening. The food was very good, the service was very pleasant, Stevana nice and efficient. The portions are very big for an European stomach, so think before you chose... We had a coupon from our hotel as we slept in Gallup, and we could chose between a free starter or dessert. We enjoyed it very much!

Steaks were great! Service amazing! Beware of the pepper in the mill they offer you. Hot! There was live music which added something to the atmosphere. This is definitely cowboy place so don't bother to dress up. We would go back!

We returned to Badlands Grill when we again stayed in Gallup on our trip back to AZ. It was again a delightful restaurant, with good food, nice wines, and excellent service. We thoroughly enjoyed the service Stevana gave us. She was a very sweet and attentive server. This restaurant far surpassed our expectations of the town.

I liked the atmosphere and the food was really good. I had a large steak! We had bacon wrapped cream cheese & jalapeno stuffed green chilies for an appetizer. Good wine list.

From first being seated to leaving, this was a great experience! Our waitress, Stevana, was extremely helpful-even offered me samples of wine so I could decide. The food was excellent and I truly enjoyed the western atmosphere. A great place to enjoy a meal after a long travel day.

Not a chain, Badlands offers true New Mexico hospitality and taste- for those of you traveling through, it's the place where locals go when they want a meal that's truly a cut above the rest, and relax with friends and neighbors. There's no dress code...no pretentiousness...just beef that's been wet-aged for 21 days, cut in-house and cooked to order...combine these with an ice cold beer or excellent bottle of wine... and you've got the stuff a cattleman's dreams are made of!
