Needed some carnivorous satisfaction and Badlands was perfect place to get all the ingredients I was craving for. Nice wine list with many first rate wines available by the glass, I enjoyed the Stags Leap Cabernet and a Massimo Malbec! Between us we had sirloin steak and dry aged New York strip 16 oz which was beautifully prepared medium rare... More

Melt in your mouth! This is a jewel in this town. A litle pricey until you take your first bite. I've eaten here several times, and if I happen to find myself on Gallup again, i'll go back.

Good food, excellent service, live music that is not too present, clean bathrooms. Highly recommended. Will visit again!

We went to the Badlands Grill for dinner and had extremely well prepared steak and lobster tails. The service was very attentive and polite. There was good live music. The food and drink were reasonably priced. The butter served with our bread was sweet and flavored with cinnoman which made it seem more for breakfast than dinner.

The food was fabulous! Had the Big Daddy Burger, absolutely delicious. The wine selection is superb. Awesome wait staff and service. Can't wait for another trip out west.

This appears to be one of the better restaurants in Gallup in terms of food preparation, selections of meats and fish and wine selection. Western music each night by a solo guitarist, well done and easy on the ears. Service by Stevana or Chelsea likewise excellent. Price is on the high side. But if you want something special, a memorable... More

Everything here was amazing. Had the big daddy burger; best burger ever eaten. Great service. We were in on a Wednesday night and a fella sang with an acoustic guitar as entertainment. Good volume, didn't disturb patron conversations or anything. Excellent time. Highly recommended. Desiree was our server and she was great too :)

We had high expectations because reading tripadvisor. This place is awesome! Our Server Desiree Recommended the smoked pork chops. Omg she was right best pork chops in my life! She had great suggestions my wine blended well with the pork chops. I enjoyed how everyone works as a team. Every waitress came and made sure to pick up empty plates. My... More

Description
Not a chain, Badlands offers true New Mexico hospitality and taste- for those of you traveling through, it's the place where locals go when they want a meal that's truly a cut above the rest, and relax with friends and neighbors. There's no dress code...no pretentiousness...just beef that's been wet-aged for 21 days, cut in-house and cooked to order...combine these with an ice cold beer or excellent bottle of wine... and you've got the stuff a cattleman's dreams are made of!
