We stopped here on our way to Colorado. The service was spectacular, our waiter was professional, and prompt. The food was great too. We stopped here again while leaving Colorado. This place will be our regular stop on our trips.

We ate here twice, and both times were happy we did. First we ate dinner. The chiles rellenos were excellent and there were several choices as to how it would be prepared. Having grown up in El Paso, where at the iconic Leo's, sopapillas aplenty came with every meal, I have soooo missed them now that we live in the... More

Wow, what an awesome review. Thanks for joining us for a meal -- not only once, but twice! It sounds like you're a sopaipilla expert, so I'm happy to hear you've given ours a big thumbs up! Although I may not have much of a say in it, I know we'd all love for you to move out west and... More

You get value for the money in La Cocina. The service is super and the food is very tasty and on top of this the prices are very reasonable. I would surely recommend this restaurant.

On a short road trip from Santa Fe, we stopped here mid-morning for breakfast. Very good food and excellent service. Lots of friendly faces. I had the relleno with eggs, beans, pepitas, tortilla and coffee. Top notch.

The sign said "New Mexican" cuisine, the menu didn't look significantly different from a Mexican restaurant in Chicago. We asked about local specials and our waitress recommended things like burritos and tacos. From that perspective it was a disappointment as I was looking for something that might be truly uniquely local food. Actually a little more looking at the menu... More

I'm very glad you enjoyed your meal with us and that you got a chance to taste the sopaipillas with your entree -- a must-have! Thanks for all your wonderful compliments. You're right! Many of our dishes are similar to typical Mexican foods you'd find elsewhere. I'm thrilled that you could appreciate the difference after trying our unique approach. We're... More

A very aggressive panhandler came to our table and three other tables that we saw pushing for money. The entire staff saw. After we finally paid the woman to leave us alone, we called our waitress over and asked her if that was allowed at the restaurant and that it had upset us. The waitress said it wasn't allowed, but... More

I want to extend an apology, Harnamji, that you didn't have a more positive experience with us. I completely understand why you were upset by the panhandler -- nobody wants to be bothered while enjoying a meal. I'm surprised to hear that my staff did nothing about the problem and want to assure you that I find this unacceptable. I... More

Went with a group and tried many different dishes, everything was AMAZING! I had a blue corn pancake with roasted pine nuts that was the most incredible thing ever! Husband had regular pancakes, they were so fluffy and flavorful, seriously the best we have had. Smothered burritos were fantastic. I wished we lived closer, we would be here all the... More

There wasn't anything bad on the plates!! Enchiladas were different from Tex Mex but good. My taco salad was fresh and crunchy. Drinks were fabulous

I ordered the stuffed sopapilla with lamb. It was amazing and so filling! It is enough for two people.

We stopped at La Cocina on our way to Santa Fe. The food was a very pleasant surprise. It was obvious that the ingredients were fresh. Everything was excellent. We tried a couple a New Mexico style restaurants during our trip and this was by far the best. Give it a try. We'll be back.
