The food is simple, filling and tasty. There is no pretension in this place, only really good food. We went there after a long day of hiking and we couldn't have been more satisfied after our meal. Service was friendly and welcoming.

Great small restaurant in El Rito. Amazingly friendly staff, really good food! A sure thing if you are passing through or in nearby Ojo.

Six of us gathered there for our last supper after a week of hiking and enjoying our time together. This is a wonderful little restaurant not far from Abiquiu, NM. We had enchilada and tamale with both red and green sauce. The chili's were very fresh and everything was just right. We brought our own "adult beverages" for our last... More

This tiny little restaurant is a terrific, authentic, multi-generational New Mexican eating establishment. On the day we were there, we were greeted with joy by Dominic, the co-owner who was our server, busboy, chef and local lore guide. What fun he was! And serious about his purpose, eating well and enjoying his restaurant. I had the Special combo, relleno and... More

What a funny & funky little place. Several people, including us, were standing outside waiting for the place to open for dinner. The service was friendly and excellent.

We arrived early and waited until they opened for dinner. We had a very long wait for our food, the place was packed. Folks who arrived later than us were served before us. I had the "house special", however, was not impressed with the food. Others in our group found the food good, but not spectacular. They expect cash payment... More

Went on a rainy day and we were first in the restaurant. I ordered the chicken enchiladas which were delicious, but my friend ordered the cheese enchiladas and had a plate full of liquid (and fat). The food tasted good, but our plates did not look comparable to what others were eating. Won't go there again if I'm in the... More

If you're in the neighborhood of Abiquiu, take the short 12 mile drive to El Rito and stop here for lunch. It's really small and we almost missed it. Luckily there was a truck in front that caught our attention! There's only 8 tables so it's quite quaint. The owner/chef, Dominic, is absolutely adorable! The women who makes the pies,... More

Went by El Farolito for our second visit the other day, going quite a bit out of the way to stop by for lunch. Halfway through the beef enchilada with green chili, I knew it was worth it! Not fancy but very good green chili!
