It's been awhile but it was so worth it. Orlando's shines on food, service and staff. They are an example of how to run a restaurant and make it work for a long duration. The staff is so organized and friendly. Food was hot and soo...tasty. I had my favorite blue corn tacos with chicken. Pinto beans were cooked to perfection. My husband had fajitas which were sizzling hot and tasty. I highly recommend Orlando's to new visitors. P.S. arrive early to park and stand in line.More

Chile rellenos and enchiladas were tasty but not too hot and spicy. Patio dining was nice while we were there in June. Great service. Great food!

2 families - 8 total diners...Food was EXCELLENT, the patio was a fun. albeit HOT, atmosphere the day we were here. Shrimp tacos on blue corn were excellent and the posole was very good too! I was drooling over my hub's chimichanga as well. Only...suggestion I have for Orlandos is that your restroom setup could really use some improvement. A port-a-potty would have been far better than waiting in line IN the kitchen for the single female/male restroom. We stood in line for 15 minutes, we were about the 5th or 6th in line. Not ideal!More

OMG! For such a small place, they rock! I took a look at the kitchen, seeing is believing, amazing how the ladies manage to keep orders straight and efficiently handle the cooking. Drinks came quick, chips quick. Our Tea Man took care of me. Smiles...and friendly staff. We did not feel rushed. Hubby had the Combo, a little bit of all. I had gilled shrimp and chili relleno. Sides were beans and pozole(my fave) and a bit of salad. Plates are generous but not overly. Our 2nd visit, but first since COVID. Great local food! We timed our meals to be at off times and had little or no wait. A local landmark, dont miss!More

Recommend ordering the shrimp enchiladas. Substitute the beans for double pasole. The avocado is flavorful and unique. Tastes similar to key lime pie. The traditional sugar cookies are good too. Nice drink menu. Friendly service. Expect a wait since it’s a favorite of the locals.

This is now this 3rd time I've been here for lunch with friends. The food is always excellent and the service is outstanding. The only drawback is that they serve everything with grits (posole) instead of rice.

We had to wait about 20 to 30 minutes to be seated but once we were seated the service was quick. The staff moved fast throughout the restaurant we’re very attentive to customers. The food we ordered was hot and delicious. One of the most...memorable meals I’ve had in New Mexico!More

We were a little intimidated when we came to Orlando's on a recommendation - the gravel parking lot, the corrugated metal roof, the sign for motorcycle parking - but once we got our food, we were blown away. I had the blue corn tacos and...while I never take pictures of my food, I did this time, and am glad for the memory - they were fabulous (hint - if you don't like the constant presentation of beans as a side, ask for posole as a substitute). My wife had a taco salad, which came in a tostado bowl, and thought it was one of the best things she had in New Mexico. Reasonable prices, great food, locals live it. Often crowded - people line up before the 5 p.m. opening - but worth the wait if you have to.More

This was recommended to us by our hotel. When we got there, we had a hard time finding a parking spot. Then I think our waiter was newer, as he seemed overwhelmed. We spent more time sitting around waiting for him than eating or waiting...for a table. The food was good excellent but between parking and that service, I can’t really recommend this place.More

A friend recommended Orlando's and we loved it. It has such a cute outdoor seating area. The blue corn enchiladas were delish!

This restaurant is fabulous - the best mexican meal I have ever eaten. The blue corn tacos and chile rellenos are not to be missed. Great service too. It is very popular so get there early or be prepared to wait a bit - worth...it.More

Everything we ordered was delicious! If you are near Taos you need to have at least one meal here. I understand there is often a wait. We came at around 7:00 on Saturday and the wait was short. I don’t know for sure but it...seems that folks eat early in Taos, so if you come a bit later you should be able to get in.More

There was an obligatory gratuity. The waitress was impersonal with eyes elsewhere, and in my opinion it doesn’t matter what service you get as the generous gratuity is going to be there anyway.

No. Orlandos does not take reservations. It's best to go early because it's very popular.
