We were driving through so picked this place to have lunch and the deli sandwich was very good. Two of us split it and were totally satisfied. Nice staff, quiet that day so we got a mini tour of the place. It was very cold...but the window in the men's room is busted out and not repaired like all of the place so in winter...brrr. It is quirky and worth a stop, be prepared to explore all of the rooms and stuffed dead animals, etc. I'd go again (if it is still open, hmm?)More

This restaurant is off the beaten path for sure. Actually at least 9 miles outside of Deming. We went middle of the afternoon on a Sunday. I had read that the service was not great. It was a little slow, but we were expecting that....The food, and the presentation of the food was well worth the trip. If you are anywhere near it, and can spend a little extra time, I highly recommend itMore

We were staying at Wolf RV Park and this place was close. The Park owner Carrol recommended the French Dip. I got a burger and my wife got the French dip. Both were amazing. I don't typically like French Dip, it's a soggy bread thing,...but I took a bite and am hooked! The home made Au Jus was perfection, along with the generous amount of house made beef. The next 2 times we went, we both got the French Dip! So good!! Also this place was featured on Ghost Adventures, and was going through a remodel while there. It's an old school. That's not all, this place has a wine cave, cigars AND smoking lounge which is the old school library!!More

This place is very unike a must see if in the area. Food and service fast and friendly. Prices seem a bit high but I'm sure you will be surprised by portions. Also very tasty except the day we stopped ordered my burger med rare...& got med well. But tasted OK.More

We always try to find a locals place and the Adobe checked all the boxes. It’s about 10 minutes outside of Deming and you would think you are headed to nowhere. You get to a place that’s unimpressive on the outside in a dirt parking...lot. The lot was full and a waiting list for dinner. The inside is a classic country bar/steakhouse. The dinner portions are huge. Get the ribeye. Love love this place.More

I spent time in Deming NM and was able to visit this restaurant. Good food and spirits. I heard there may be spirits of more than one kind. French Onion soup was good. A sandwich can feed 2.

Dropped in after a race in Arizona. Last time was 17 years ago and I don’t think it’s changed at all. Excellent food and atmosphere. Still one of my favorite all time stops. Too bad it’s 24hrs from home. Rocket Road Racing

Everything about this place is noteworthy, from the hunting lodge vibe of the main dining room, to the curiosities lining walls, hallways and rooms of the rambling structure. The menu consists of hearty snacks and appetizers, “mile high deli style” sandwiches, and delectable desserts, but...it’s the expertly cooked steaks and ribs that really sell the place. A little off the beaten path, but well worth the visit.More

This place is last whatever "landmark" you use to describe the farthest reaches of an area. The food is great! My sandwich was bigger than a foot long Subway. The place is well known by the locals. There was a big party in a private...room. The service in the main room was completely unaffected.More
