Having read some of the reviews, weren't sure what to expect - but for us, it was great! Their rolls are excellent, and our waiter more than helpful and friendly! Wife had chicken fried steak, I had their chopped steak - both were prepared well, and VERY tasty!

Went for a late lunch today and was really disappointed in the remodeling. It was certainly time for a remodel but now with no ceiling and exposed support beams it appears that they ran out of money half way through. Acoustics are terrible and concrete floors show pattern of former tile. Overall the place looks cheap and junkie. Service was... More

The food and service is great. We always leave very full. We was seated and had drinks in a timely matter. The cobbler is like how I remember my Mom making.

We visited the second day after the Grand Re-Opening. The parking lot was packed and the restaurant looked very full but we were seated right away however…we sat on wet seats. The initial service was fast and friendly but the pace of the meal slowed down some as we waited on the entrees. The Bread, Roast Turkey, Dressing, Garlic Mashed... More

Both my friend and I enjoyed the Spinach and Strawberry Salad with Grilled Chicken. Delicious. Server very attentive and courteous. They are closed for remodeling but will open again soon.

We eat there about once a week and have never been disappointed. The menu is varied. Try the fried green tomatoes. They are undergoing a renovation but should reopen in about a week.

We stayed in Clovis on our way to Philmont Scout Ranch. There just is not a lot in this part of New Mexico. Normally, I really like Cotton Patch Cafe's for something a little different, or when I want something I know will be good if I am not sure about other places. It was slower than other places I... I haven't been disappointed yet. Except for the desserts, they are overly rich/sweet. Mostly traditional American home style cooking. Usually the service, though friendly for the most part, leaves something to be desired. Probably because it is usually very busy, but they should hire more wait staff.

Had the well known chicken fried steak meal with mashed potatoes, squash, okra and the rolls and cornbread. Very good meal. Our waitress was very good as she checked on us often. We will return to eat there again.

Sorry to give this place such a bad review, as the food was actually very good. We arrived at 9:00 at night, realizing we were coming in late, but they don't close until 9:30. Our friends had been on the road all day, we were trying to do something nice for them by buying them dinner, and our server was... More
