Charming atmosphere but no A.C. so warm on the patio. We had a refreshing margarita and my rolled blue corn red and green chile tiny but tender shrimp enchiladas were inspiring. (I'm going to try them in my own kitchen.) The waiter was from New York and had lucked into this old-time restaurant in rural Northern New Mexico.

Gracious and Authentic Mexican cuisine. Interesting family history and many family recipes make this an unforgettable dining experience only a half mile from the historic church at Chimayo. The sopapias are wonderful especially dipped in honey and eaten throughout the meal.

This hidden gem north of Santa Fe provides excellent food with an extremely attentive staff. Try the Chimayo cocktail (apple juice and tequila). The menu is extensive and prices are reasonable. We had no trouble being seated for lunch and on the weekend they serve breakfast. It may a bit out of the way if you ate traveling from Santa... More

We returned here after 3 years away; other than a mighty hot day (98!), we really enjoyed our delicious lunch...our frozen 'prickly pear lemonades' helped cool us; her shrimp-stuffed avocado salad was artfully plated, filled w/farm-fresh veggies & a treat to eat. I indulged myself with the 'Platon Especial' (big combo platter w/taco, relleno, enchilada, tamale, & guacamole... also hot... More

My husband had eaten here a number of years ago and had fond memories, so this on his list for our trip. We had a tasty meal outside, service was good, and the atmosphere was pleasant. We have this place on our list to try the weekend brunch on our next venture to New Mexico. Bought some of their sauces in... More

This restaurant is approximately a 40 minute drive from Santa Fe. Best Experience of our week vacation. Beyond description. It is a must! And located next to the famous Santuario De Chimayo church. Great afternoon trip. Be sure and make reservations.

I was a little disappointed since the restaurant was highly recommended. The red sauce had a very strong tomato flavor which I did not care for. The beans and rice were very good however.

First things first: if all I cared about was the quality of the food, this rating would be much, much higher. But, in the interest of being true to the experience I actually had, the atmosphere and service were extremely disappointing. I was anxious and resentful the whole time, and I was happy to leave. The reputation of the restaurant,... More

Finally returned to this wonderful place after 4 years and the food is still wonderful! A group of friends came with us as we ventured out on a Sunday drive to Chimayo. We of course stopped for lunch at the "ranch house eatery" to see if the food was still as good as we remembered. AND IT IS! WE HAD... More
