Good food for such a closed off town. The people are very nice and the food is reasonably priced for the area. Good mexican plates all day long.

True; it's not Mexican food( not shrimp, rice, or ceviche) it true northern New Mexican food. A food like none other, and a dining delight. The family owned and operated establishment has stood the test of time, they have been pleasing diners as long as I can recall. (Literally 30+ years). You don't last last long unless you are a... A long time family friend took us to JV's while we were visiting in Antonito over the July 4th weekend. She and her husband have been going to JV's to eat for the past 10 years, and they make the drive into Chama just for JV's. I so appreciated that my friend had developed a friendship with the owners, and... More

Tasted bad and not worth the price they charge. Not mexican food. Don't waste your time or money drive on by.

They are only open 11 to 2, but well worth the effort to catch them when they are there. Mother and daughter business (mom cooks, daughter is waitress, server). Anything on the menu is excellent. Food is served hot, and everything is cooked to order. This is the only place to find Enchiladas served flat ( or stacked), and that... More

Best burger in town. Old fashioned, mouth watering. Also green chili and beans if you like really hot.

The Green Chile Cheeseburgers are great but be aware it takes quite a while to be served. It's pretty popular and mostly full around lunchtime.

These people make a good meal, but their customer service is downright terrible. They really need to learn a few things about catering to clients. I'd eat there again because the food is good, but now I know what to expect with the staff - curt, abrupt, unfriendly. They actually make you want to leave...very unwelcoming. So I guess if... More

We came with friends with most of us ordering the Mexican Burger. Boy was it good!!! It's a large beef burger on half a bun topped with cheese and smothered with chili and served with fries. The green chili on the burger was very flavorful and nicely spicey. Our server was friendly and attentive and we were very pleased with... More
