This was some of the best Mexican food ever! The sopallias were fresh and hot like little pillows. The food was spicy but in a different way from the Tex-Mex we are used to. This place is definitely worth searching out!!

Stop by. I had the three combo enchiladas with the HOT queso and it was super. Service was first rate. Will return if I am in the area. Excellent food. Fresh.

Wonderful authenic Southwest Mexican food. We had combination plates very spicy but the heat did not linger. Sopallias were the best I've ever tasted!!

The red sauce is warm, the green is VERY hot. Salsa was excellent, chips coarse but good. The cheese enchilada was good, but a bit chewy on the ends; chile relleno and refritos were tasty. Sopapilla was excellent. Service was good, as well as friendly to obvious tourists. Price was reasonable.

Very nice local restaurant with a large menu of New Mexican dishes for everyones tastes. "Buyer beware"! This is real mexican food with some serious heat. The green chili comes with a warning that it is hot. The red is pretty warm too. If you like spicy and hot Mexican cuisine, this is your kind of place. Most of the... More

When we lived in Albuquerque we would take the short drive north and west to Bernalillo often just to eat at this great place. Everything is good here; real authentic New Mexican Mexican food. The carne adovada is beyond compare! Whenever we return to Albuquerque/Northern New Mexico this is the first place we go to!

Most weeknights the restaurant closes at 8 so don't plan on this restaurant for a late dinner. We arrived at 7:30ish and was rewarded with a floor show...They mopped the floor while we ate. If you like New Mexican cuisine then this is the place for you. Every bite of my stuffed sopapilla just tasted like a meld of traditional... More

Abuelita's is my favorite restaurant for New Mexican food. I am a native New Mexican and this food comes the closest to what I grew up with. I usually have the red chile(tastes like my mom's), Guacamole is good, a little pricey. Prices on the food are reasonable, drinks are high I think.

We love New Mexican green chili and coming from CO our goal was to have it daily. As soon as we walked into the restaurant, the topic of green chili never ended. Customer's leaving mentioned, It is hot today! You know it's made daily and it's fresh. Simple and clean, the restaurant offers authentic NM food and the BEST sopapillas... More

Visiting my parents and stopped here for lunch. Great atmosphere, fantastic selection, friendly staff. I ordered the Abuelitaillias (sp). Essentially a taco on steroids. Starts with Navaho Flatbread and add everything you can find in a taco. Absolutely wonderful and filling. We'll be back before I return home.

Thank Andy D
