We stayed here for some time while going to Punakha. It is circular shaped restaurant. The view of the Himalaya is very clear & attractive due to clear sky. We took tea only & relax. The price was high but location & temperature inside was very comfortable. It is at a height of 3100 meters.

Visited this Restaurant recently in the month of November, 2016 with a group of 16 members . The Non-veg spread was really good however the veg spread was not that intresting. Food quality is great but the price might be a little heavy on your pocket. The hotel faces the Himalayan range and its a great experience to dine in... More

While coming back from Punakha I stopped for almost one hour in Dochula so got to visit this cafe, it was evening and it was so warm and comfy inside, the huge central fireplace inside the restaurant was a huge comfort in the chilly evening. I had black tea with few cookies which was very good but a little expensive.... More

We stopped at Dochula twice. once on our way to Wangdue and the second on our way to HAA. The second visit we stopped for Tea@ Dochula Resort Restaurant. The resto has a beautiful view of the pass and the sky. ample parking space is available outside. you could freshen up too as you wait for your order. We enjoyed... More

Overpriced cafe mainly for foreigners , but a pit stop you'll need to make nevertheless on your way to Punakha. Traditional Bhutanese food fireplace as the central column looks cool. Has views of Mount Everest on a clear day.The pass has a magnificient view of the Himalayas and eating breakfast at the Druk Wangyel cafe was quite an experience.

We stopped over here twice for washroom/coffee break. Perhaps the only restaurant at Dochula Pass. Location & view from the restaurant is awesome. The heaters inside will offer warmth from the cold wind outside. Coffee/per small cup is priced at Rs/Nu 60 & it is not worth it. Some staff members spoke rudely but perhaps it was my feeling as... Somewhat of a let down when you consider its excellent location and setting. Noisy restaurant, sloppy service, average food quality, poor presentation.

Very good Indian veg food, as the case with all Bhutan hotels, South Indian items are shown in the Menu but no one have it.

This is a refreshing place to stop when travelling between Thimpu and Punakha. And if you are lucky , the Himalayan mountain ranges are visible from your table. This is also a must stop for the much needed toilet break. Staff are friendly and provide coffee or tea and crackers while you relax . Had lunch here on way back... More
