Had dinner here to celebrate a friend's 64th birthday. Was expecting the usual restaurant with a buffet - 4 kinds of veggie and chicken. Was I wrong. Was ushered into a separate area so we could have privacy to celebrate - first surprise . Then the host came, explained how she put us apart and asked who was the celebrant... More

You need to stroll through the paddy fields in this village. It's an absolute must! You can see the fields gently sitting across the valley and against the hills with the river flowing in between.

Our driver cum guide had suggested that whilst on our way to Punakha Dzong, we should stop at Lobesa restaurant and place our order for lunch and then after the sight seeing return here. At that time, we did not heed his advice but later on realized that in Bhutan, that is the smartest thing to do...pre order lunch or... More

En route to Gangtey we had a lunch break at Lobesa restaurant and it definitely was a fulfilling meal. It was a combination of amazing food, service and location. They had a buffet menu that includes red rice, Ema Dakshi, fresh boiled veggies, momos, accompaniments/dips and ice cream. The service too was prompt and nice. Also it had one of... More

On our enroute to Gangtay valley, Lobesa was so refreshing. With a very warm setting and a great view with sumptuous meal and friendly staff, Lobesa was a great choice to stop midway to gangtay Valley. A must visit.

We were a group of 9 travelling around Bhutan and this restaurant's newly opened 4 rooms was our accommodation for 2 days. The rooms, though large were strictly average in terms of quality. There was a fan in the middle of the room that served no purpose as the bed was at the end of the room and the hot... More

On our way to Punakha we had a stopover at this restaurant. They had refused to serve Ala-carte and we had to opt for buffet. The food was very ok in terms of both taste and variety. Overpriced.

We stopped here for lunch with our small group. The restaurant knew of our coming and the food had been prepared for us. We were offered the standard dishes of red rice, chicken, mixed vegetables, chips, spring rolls - about 8 dishes in total together with soup and fruit afterwards. It all looked good and tasted good and served with... More

Bhutan is not yet Indian food friendly if you have seniors with you. They are usually less adaptable to the Bhutanese food due to their age. The staff here was very helpful and fixed few quick Indian dishes for my family. The restaurant is set in beautiful surroundings...
