After being at the markets at Ho Chi Minh City, this market seemed relaxed. It was busy but easy to get around. Plenty of seafood restuarants. Loved the coconut icecream, and the icecream made in front of you - choose your flavour! We brought some...peper but Australians note that Customs in Melbourne confiscated it - a change that came in last year. Apparently you need the botanical name of the plant/pepper on the packaging.More

Like many south east Asian markets, Dinh Cau is busy. The hustle and bustle of it all is part of the charm. Our two young daughters barely blinked, taking it all in. The shop and food cart vendors are courteous and the restaurant staff are...welcoming. The food, particularly the seafood, was fantastic. The charm of visiting at night when the lights and lanterns are fully lit, the temperature is a bit lower and you have time to slowly meander your way through and explore makes it a worthwhile visit.More

Good seafood at Thai son live seafood at the end of the night market. Bought seafood from the day market and the restaurant help us prepare food was good.

I had a nice time tonight here. This has 3 streets filled with vendors. Half are selling Vietnamese local cuisine (everything from banh mi to oysters to sea food to fresh rolls to pancakes to deserts like waffles, ice coconut crisps, and much more). The...other half is filled with vendors selling tourist gimmicks. I have been to a bunch of markets in Asia and think this deserves 4 stars for a few reasons... first nobody rips you off. The prices are there and nobody is pushing to get you to buy more. Also, cabs there and back also do not rip you off - just ask for meter. My cab one kilometer was 20 VND this is 1 USD. Great and fair price. We ordered a pancake vegetarian and inside had pork in it. She may not have understood but we said vegetarian 3 times. Disappointing. Overall a good experience :)More

Lots of activity with restaurant. The only restaurant found open during lunch was Thai Son seafood located at the end of the night market. Great seafood price is moderately priced but for the quality and service quite worth.

We went here for dinner, and because the night market is supposed to be one of the most exciting things to see on Phu Quoc. I can honestly say that it is an overpriced, low quality tourist trap designed only to get your cash, with...absolutely 0 authenticity and very little else of interest in the surrounding area. People are agressive with trying to secure your business, not a single one of the sea food restaurants we researched was well rated online (and indeed some had dead shellfish in their tanks - an absolute food disaster). Even the stalls selling souvenirs and tat are priced 5x more than they are in the areas outside of Duong Dong town. If you want seafood, great street food and souvenirs you would be much better not visiting this market or Duong Dong and instead walking down towards Cua Lap and Duong To. Find the busy seafood restaurants where locals and tourists / travellers are eating and here you will find some of the most fantastic seafood on the island.More

Amazing buzz, sights and smells. Had a slap up seafood feast at Xu’s in the market. One of the best meals we’ve ever had. Can’t wait to return in the future!

Another market in Vietnam. This one is on the smaller side and is a 50/50 mix of food and souvenirs. Nothing really exciting about it. Lots of seafood places but the reviews aren’t really on the positive side. We ate at chu ga Trong and...it wasn’t very good. You can probably get cheaper outside. Cost us 450k and it was below average. Mainly little trinkets to buy. If you’re there check it out and have some ice cream rolls and a smoothieMore

This market was pretty small, a lot of fresh seafood restaurants , some clothes shops ans souvenirs. Overall, i wouldnt recommend going here as a special trip, but have a look if you are staying near by.

Don't bother. Nothing at all like other markets in Vietnam or across IndoChina. The only thing of great variety was food, but having seen the terribly unhygienic state of the market and town, we didn't dare sample anything.

Was not expecting much but was surprised by the array of food and small items to buy. Phu Quoc is not a shopping destination like Bali and Thailand but i think it will be in coming years. Fresh seafood is cheap and lots of places...to choose from.More

We went here with some anticipation of an enjoyable evening after having spent numerous evenings in other night markets around SE Asia. This was by far the smelliest, dirtiest one of all. We regularly enjoy street food but in this locale, no way

We expected a proper night market with a smorgasbord of different foods and drinks. Instead we encountered an area with 50 restaurants selling the same fish and seafood way overpriced! Set prices for everything, we were not able to bargain at all😵. The whole place...is set up for tourists. However, the sugarcane juice was a hit - delicious 😋!More
