What a beautiful restaurant and amazing home Morrocan taste... rare gem in this island
Would definitely return..
Happy Birthday to Muhammad, all the best to you... May God bless you always...
ps: such a wonderful host he is.
Amazing tagine, couscous, merguez and more!
Momo and Intan are wonderful and very friendly hosts and are happy to explain and chat (even though they may be busy at times). This gives Tagine a special and personal feel that is not always present in these...kind of restaurants!
The Lamb dishes are super delicious and melt in your mouth...
A kebab in a pita bread is also available, mainly for lunch.
Note that it's highly advised to book in advance, and it's easy to do via the contact form on their website.
The main dishes might take some time to arrive because they are prepared super fresh and yummy. Well worth it!
Rather quickly this place has become one of my favorites in all of Bali! Thanks Momo and Intan!More
I live in bali so tryed most of restaurants here. Tagine became my favourite for combination of delicious home made food, super cozy and romantic environment, centeral location, parking and of course warm welcoming from the owners))) I've recommended it all my friends and each...one of them was greatfull for that!More
I been living in Indonesia for a quite while. And as a Moroccan i have always craved food from my country. But here is the thing: it's really hard to find moroccan (berber) food here. Believe me i been everywhere in indonesia amd most of...the so called middle eastern restaurants are overpriced amd the food has nothing moroccan but the name.
Long story short. Last week i decided to conquer my inner critic amd try Tagine Bali. I had my doubts. I got disaponted so many times amd woild rather eat nasi goreng than taste half-cooked couscous.
But my girlfriend wanted it and i was like ok at least the owner is algerian.. hopefully he knows what he is doing.
We got in. The place is quite cozy and not that big. It really reminded me of grandmas dining room im the rof atlas (excpept for the egyptiam music playing in the background lol)
We ordereed some food, chickrm tagine and an entree but i was most wamted to tasts the tea. The menu said moroccan tea amd i wanted to prove them wromg.
Biy i was wromg. So wromg. The tea tasted so good i wanted to cry. I was blown right away.
Then i was like yeah tea is nice. They must have the seeds from morofco ( which i usuallu bring with me on plane whenever i go home)
Then the food came and honest to God,the last time i had a tagine as deliciois as the ome in tagine Bali was years amd years ago..the veggies are nicely cooked, the meat melts in your mouth. I looked at my gf amd i told her "thats real moroccan food".
This place is amazing beyond meausure.
Price wise? The owner must be kidding. You can have a nice tagine in morocco in a touristy area for 150 to 200dh (300 to 400k idr). You cam have the same meal experience at Tagine Bali for 110 to Dp your math. Thats half the price.
Tonight im heading there again. I hope you come tooMore
Went there last week with my boyfriend. The ambience's nice, eventhough only a few tables, reservation preffered. Since he is a Moroccan, he can really tell if it's nice or not. As he told me, a nice tagine should be homecooked style and juicy. This...place got it all, real Moroccan food not just the label as the others. Looking forward to come back soon.More
Tagine is highly recommended, amazing food and a lovely dining experience in a cozy atmosphere. Every time I eat here I feel transported to an exotic Moroccan oasis, and the food is absolutely fantastic. Highly, highly recommended to visit while in south Bali!
Each time I come to Tagine I feel great in this cool cozy ambiance with the best couscous and tagine I have ever eat. thanks Momo for the warm welcome and for the excellent food. A place to not miss in Bali!
We had dinner on a Saturday. Normally the restaurant is only open on Wednesday and Friday. For my group of friends the owner made an exception. One of my friends had told me the food is excellent and I thought it would be the perfect...place for an all friends' dinner. We could bring our own wine, we only had to pay corkage 150k per bottle. It's always nice when that option exists.
Nicely decorated inside. It makes you feel you are taken to another country all together as you walk in. They prepared al long table for us (nine people). Nice sofas and chairs. All and all very cosy. The lighting perfect.... not too bright. And luckily no giant mirrors on the wall. Just perfect.
The owner Momo and his wife were excellent hosts. Very friendly.
The menu offers great Moroccan style dishes. The owner suggested to order dishes to share. We had the chicken livers, the lamb chops and couscous. All food was excellent. Yummy food !
Definitely coming back soon, I told the owner when we left. Tonight I'm taking other friends there again.More
