Visited Twice During Our Trip

After coming to Bali for many many years we had never been to Ultimo until this trip. We were given a table under the front canopy that was a light with candles and red and white linen. The service was attentive and our meals were really, really good. Complimentary bread basket was a treat and an offer to refill it during our meal was a nice touch. Drinks were well priced, cold and well presented. Our second visit a week later was just as good, this time we sat through into the restaurant and near the live band - different atmosphere, but still friendly and attentive service and again our meals were excellent. We will now return here each time we visit.

Mangiamo (Lets Eat!), Love & Pray...

This was a 2nd Italian restaurant we dined at during our stay in Bali, after Italian Job few doors away. The restaurant is located on the busy strip in Seminyak. We walked in without a booking and were pleased they could accommodate us without too much of a wait. Inside a bar sits central around diners and you hear a jingle jangle of cocktails being made, customer chitter chatter and laughter wrapped around us. Good energy and a fun vibe bounced around reassuring us, our option of dining here was a perfect choice. The ambience was impressive a nice relaxed cosiness flowed throughout the interior. Subtle lighting and soft glows from candles flickering on surrounding tables and a theme of red and white linen, with an added granduer of a silk canopy created a sense of elegance and sophistication. It became apparent this place sets a high bar serving only the best quality in fine dining. Outdoor seating in the garden is also available as is light entertainment, but I guess it’s how you time your visit. Once seated, menus given and we pondered over a selection of dishes. A complimentary basket of fresh warm breads and butter added a nice touch to the start of our meal. We ordered 2 mains a vegetarian pizza and a pasta dish, lovely flavours, excellent texture, presentation and good portion size. Then came the dessert tiramisu swirls of creaminess and a delicate hint of coffee and a sugar hit put our taste buds in a happy place. Drinks refreshingly delightful and prices that won’t break the bank. This place tells a story in one word Squisto! The food was executed well and we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience, staff not pushy and hovering over, which was nice. We caught glimpses of dishes being served to customers their expressions said it all in a word “wow”. Food displayed like fine works of art this was evident seeing empty plates going back. Ultimo didn’t do things by half the whole dining experience was perfectly crafted and you couldn’t fault it. Simplicity and a hospitable environment is a recipe that will bode well for a repeat visit. My only gripe was tables set a little too close to other diners, so lacking privacy. It’s a shame we didn’t have time for another visit, but a high recommendation is up there for anyone who appreciates Italian cuisine and a nice evening out. Our Italian journey ended in “Eat authentic Italian food, Love the ambience, and Pray you’ll come back for more” just as the title suggests. This wasn’t an Ultimo experience, this was the ULTIMATE experience! and one we are happy to share with others. Grazie & Ciao Indu & Versha.

Good quality and Value for Money

The prawn linguini is tasty and very value for money. The slow cooked beef stew is ridiculously large and could easily feed 3 pax. We also had the ice blended fruit martinis and they were very sweet, but also refreshing. Skip the mushroom soup. It tastes like Campbell mushroom soup.

Italian will never eat here

This fancy resturant was really full and they have a great service.but the food is not Italian,It must be cooked by non Italian. Simple pasta was not cooked right, Ozo Buco ,the meat was so hard and not eatable. My comments to our waiter when she asked why we did’t finish our meal I replied the best thing in this place is your TOOTH PICKS

Waitress shouted in my ear

Had dinner here a week ago with 4 other friends, food and service was fine until when the waitress was trying to take the finished plates. I could not hear her as we were chatting and the restaurant is normally buzzing because of the music and people talking. The waitress then shouted in my ear until I really stopped everything and was outraged. Even if I could not hear the waitress, it is not acceptable to shout in your customer's ear! She could have easily grabbed the plates in front of me without having to make me deaf.

Good Italian never fails to deliver

This restaurant in the middle of Eat Street, Seminyak, always gives good value and great food. Excellent for families with a varied menu. Staff are friendly and helpful. Booking may be advisable as it is very popular.

Very disappointed an old favorite has changed for the worst!

Ultimo was a favorite of ours pre pandemic. On return to Bali we went to their new location and could not have been more disappointed. Limited menu which is probably understandable considering circumstances but the prices had substantially increased. There was a cold cuts platter on menu which included 2 glasses of white wine. We wanted the platter but not the wine, I asked if we could possibly have platter without wine and they simply refused. So unlike Bali! We left restaurant and will not return.

I love to go around and find new italian places, is my fav cuisine. Is a bit crowded and the service a bit slow if we want to be picky. But you can't say nothign about the food, really tasty and affordable. The tomato pasta was amazing, and the wine beside being a bit pricey was perfect. great night overall !!!

Dinner in the new Ultimo Seminyak

Food was fresh tasty, could have been hotter. lovely ambience, overall smaller serves compared to old Ultimo. Drinks served in smaller glasses and food/drinks quite pricier than what we were used to. We read the mixed reviews and the reviews are accurate. It is upmarket and prices reflect that. I wouldn't go back as there are many better choices in the area.

amazing food!!

There is a busy and lively street next to the beautiful beach of Seminyak with many shops, clubs, bars, restaurants and cafes. This street has lively nights because of the nightclubs. The Italian restaurant Ultimo is in the middle of this street. If you want a real Italian dish in Bali, visit this restaurant. Garlic breads and special breads that are brought to the basket with special cheese before the meal are really lovely. The restaurant had live music in the courtyard. The staff are professional. This is a restaurant for romantic encounters. We came to this restaurant many times and the quality of the food was always excellent. I love ultimo ravioli !!

Great pasta

Kids were craving pasta so we decided to give this ultra cool looking venue a shot . Many people sitting on some funky steps outside having cocktails . My son ordered the Wagu bolognese which was Devine , daughter had pesto linguine and we had prawns and steak alongside a cocktail, fresh juices and water and an ice cream for my son it came to £100 . That may be expensive for Bali compared to other restaurants but realistically it was £25 each for a great meal .

Very different from the old Ultimo

This place used to be one of my favourite place and I used to highly reccomend it to my friends and family. But since moved to a new place, I would not reccomend it. They no longer have the cheese sticks that served in the beginning, the price is more or less the same but portion is much smaller and not as tasty as it used to be. Probably different chefs but they should've at least maintain the food quality or made it better.

WOW 🤩 My husband and I were so impressed with this restaurant. Our waitress Adriani was amazing🙌🏼So knowledgeable about the menu and very caring and efficient. The Linguine Con Gamberi was sooooo delicious........can highly recommend. We give this restaurant and our experience 5⭐️

Mind-blowing food

We were in Bali for 8 nights. Visited urltmo twice for dinner. Lovely ambience .can't fault this place on anything . Waiters were polite and we'll informed. Their frozen daiquiri s are superb. My mom had the sangria which was nice too. The taste , balance and flavor of every dish we had was just perfect. The prawn linguine was my favorite.the tiramisu was great too. The texture of the panacotas so smooth. Some Italian joints go heavy on the cheese but this was just perfect..delecate flavors. We were in Italy this summer and the food here was better than what we had there. The pieces were fair too specially for the quality of food. A special mention to their bread basket which was complimentary and they gave refills . Such warm and fresh bread.... We came back on our last night at Bali Though there are a lot of great food options in the seminiyak area. One can easily eat good food for 10 says without repeating a restaurant

Nice food, but pretty dark, was out the back, outside, lots of people crammed in, you feel like your part of someone else conversation, didn't enjoy that. The food was average, had pasta and pizza, husband wasn't fussed on the pizza, pasta was good, nice wine, and the dessert, tiramisu was not that great. was a little disappointed overall. Had live music.
