Beautiful setting. Absolultely perfect for a sunny winter's day. The service was excellent and so was the food. They even have a little shop with various goodies to buy.

I am a regular, and yes, there has been a problem in the past year with service, I was pleasantly surprise yesterday with their service& a tasty Bobotie wrap! Their coffee has always been good! Affordable prices, trendy homemade food. Coxy fireplaces, red chairs on the inside, nice! What I do like alot is that one hardly wait long to... More

My wife and I have had breakfasts and lunches here on a regular basis over the years on our travels to the Garden Route and stays in the Robertson Valley and even got to know the staff. The bakery was also well known and very popular. The original owner left some time ago and, although we still enjoy our meals... More

We were staying self catering nearby and were recommended this as a place for breakfast. Sitting outside we found the service good and the breakfast kept us going until supper (nearly!). And then of course there is the wine tasting and purchasing on the premises, not to mention the largest red chair in Africa!

This was an excellent bakery/breakfast lunch venue...once upon a time We did not go in this time as we were there at opening time only to wait around a few minutes as it was closed. The transport for the staff then pitched up...it would not have been a good experience with everyone on the back foot etc etc Note to the... With such a great location, this restaurant have much potential, but they have to upgrade their service and attention to detail. Food was ok, but service poor.

We stopped for lunch, and had the butter chicken curry. Absolutely exquisite. Nice wine at very reasonable prices. The log fire kept us warm in the rainy weather.

We stopped for lunch at the Rooiberg winery - home of the world's biggest chair. Lunch is available in the restaurant next door to the winery with the Rooiberg wines available at the same price as at the cellar door, so lunch was accompanied by the Rooiberg Merlot reserve which was delicious. I had a vegetarian quiche and salad which... More

En route from Cape Town to Oudtshoorn we stopped for a coffee break at Robertson. The blazing open fire was a real attraction and the great selection of fresh pastries (which were very cheap) was excellent. Great coffee and soups. Would stop again for a main meal

On our way back from our long weekend we decided to stop for lunch, recommended by my parents in law. What a disappointment! Theres no staff on the floor. Waited over 20minutes for our drinks, then another hour and and a half for 4 burgers. Food didn't taste that bad, but only to find that the leaves on the burgers... More
