We had a good meal, the location with the sunset view is special, staff was friendly but all average. Price was more than average. Still a good location

Great setting, unorganised and slow service but food was quite good. Only go back for the position of the place.

This restaurant so very famous especially for the calamari was not terribly busy when we went. The meal did not disappoint we had the steak and calamari for which it is famous, but oh my did the service let it down. We waited just over an hour for our meal to arrive. When we told the restaurant manager when he... More

We had a lovely dinner at the Chapmans Peak Restaurant. It has a stunning view of the harbour and it is lovely to sit outside on warm summer evenings. The service was great and the drinks menu extensive with a number of good craft beers listed. The food was good, not great but perfectly average.

We stopped at this restaurant because it had somewhat of a view. The restaurant was not very busy, but there was movement of people near the entrance and then a lot of noise from a crane hoisting a car to tow it away from the parking area in front of the hotel. The lady who served us was nice and... More

A very disappointing experience, from a very average salad, presentation & coupled with a lack of interest from both managers when asked. It would seem the interest and passion has gone since my last visit there with friends - one feels now that they are just simply trying to make money from tourists now. A lot more reasonably priced and... More

The restaurant is a local institution, renowned worldwide for the best Calamari in Cape Town, with a popular sun-drenched terrace overlooking the bay and mountains. Calamari at the Chapmans Peak was voted as "one of top 20 things to do in Cape Town".It’s the ideal location for those lingering sunsets and balmy evenings. A sun-drenched verandah boasting spectacular views of the bay offers an alternative eating venue for those wishing to dine Al fresco. And in those winter months, it’s one of few places in the Cape with fireplaces (dating back 100yrs)
