Our second time at Fyndraai - Solms Delta,it was definitely worth the re-visit. Starters was tasty and delicious. Mains was well executed with beautifully presented plates. Our waiter was well knowledgeable and made outstanding suggestions of wines to accompany our meals. The desserts made a perfect finish to a great day out for lunch.

We visited Fyndraai restaurant when another nearby restaurant couldn't fit us for lunch. We were a bit quiet when we were almost the only people at the restaurant (it was a Wednesday). However, what a pleasant surprise it was. The menu featured a number of local game dishes which were good for our friends from Australia. The presentation of the... More

Fijndraai restaurant is something pleasantly different. I had lunch in the garden in the shade of grand old trees, which was already pleasant. The food is special with the emphasis on local dishes, tastes and produce while also blending the culinary roots of the local population in a 'fusion' type of way. This produces surprising combinations which stand out from... More

The staff were very kind and attentive and they made the lunch pleasant. The bread was delicious with the farm fresh butter. The main vegetarian option was really good although there was not a lot of food on the plate. I have to agree with the previous reviewer that the value for money element was not there. My father was... More

We visited Fyndraai restaurant over December 2014, looking for a good meal. Unfortunately we had a poor experience, spoiled by so many flies, that we could barely eat our very small portion main meals, while looking for a napkin and clean cutlery. We battled to catch the attention of a waitron and the manager was seen only once, as he... More

We were fortunate enough to visit Fyndraai on a beautiful day so we sat outside under the massive trees and had a wonderful lunch. The food is superb and having had friends from England it was lovely to have a menu with a truely "South African" flair to it. The service was a bit slow but could be overlooked because... More

The restaurant is at a new location which in my opinion is not as pretty as the original. However, you can still sit under the large trees and sip some wine. The food is authentic South African but actually quite average. I was not overly impressed by any if my courses, and neither was my partner. The service is good... More

Description
Fyndraai is an exciting restaurant with a local twist, on the Solms-Delta wine estate outside Franschhoek. The food, like its adventurous wines, lives up to the Solms-Delta claim of being proudly Hiervandaan (‘from this place’).
You not only walk into history in the 325-year-old wine farm restaurant, you walk OVER it. The glass floor covers the archaeological substructure of a 1740 wine cellar.
