Always great food here. Beautiful Salads, Steaks and a Terrific burger. The menu changes from time to time. I wish they would bring back the chicken milanese. Get the chowder if you go. It is the best.

Trip Advisor comes through once again. Great restaurant inside the ICONA Diamond Beach hotel. Food was very good. We ordered the fried calamari and it was cooked like it should be, not overdone and rubbery. Dinner-wise we had Shrimp & Spinach Pasta, White Clam Chowder and Mac N Cheese with Blackened Chicken. The shrimp dish was very tasty…large meaty shrimp. The clam chowder was rich and flavorful. Mac n cheese tasted good as well. Blackened chicken, although ordered, did not come out of the kitchen. Made it right by providing it and not charging us for it (unsolicited)…appreciate management’s handling here. I won’t comment on the service…we were one of two tables in the whole place, and a new server was being trained, so grace given. Drink prices were a bit steep, but tasty.

Today was our first time dining at Coastal Blue and what an absolute amazing experience it was. The food was delicious, especially the braised short rib. The service was outstanding and we were even visited by the head chef John and restaurant manager Matt who checked in with each patron regarding if everything was alright and how our weekend was going so far. We will definitely be back and are now thinking of booking a future event now at this gorgeous restaurant.

We spent the weekend with n the hotel and had two breakfasts, two lunches, room service delivery and a big dinner for 14 people.
Food is ok, some items better than others.
The best is brazed soft rib with polenta, really excellent. Salmon is good.
Sushi is decent.
Calamari is a bit soggy and salads a bit dry.
Cappuccino is not very good, but plain coffee is lavazza and very fresh.
For breakfast yogurt parfait and quesadilla are good choices.
The best part is very friendly young staff, really going out of the way to accommodate the guests at all times.
This was an extremely busy last of summer weekend and the restaurant ran out of crostini and certain types of beer and even tea.
The place is clean and well maintained.

We visited on 7/25/22. Our server Arianna exceeded all expectations in terms of friendliness and attentiveness. We loved her!
The food was a true disappointment. My husband ordered Fish tacos which were not much better than Ms. Paul’s. We received 4 ounces of wine for $14. My shrimp cocktail consisted of significantly overcooked i.e. tough shrimp.
We realize everything is different because of Covid; however, quality should not suffer-especially with higher prices for food/service.

We have been frequenting Coastal/ICONA for years and have always enjoyed our experience. Not last night.
We both ordered the NE Clam Chowder, bowl. First, the “bowl” is now a glorified cup, but the price at $12.00 still reflects big bowl pricing. The soup should be called “Potato Soup with a Clam”, cause that’s what we got. Very disappointing.
Next, I ordered the $45.00 Ribeye. Mistake! Coastal/ICONA are striving for 5 Star pricing and ratings while serving 1 Star Diner food. At $45.00 you anticipate a nice juicy, thick, Ribeye. What you get is a typical Diner breakfast steak. Again, very disappointing.
The only saving grace and why we gave them 3 Stars was their Wait Staff. This is where Coastal/ICONA still earns 5 Stars. Their staff was very attentive to our needs and provided very personalized service. Excellent!
On the way out the Restaurant Manager actually asked us how our meal was. He seemed surprised when we told him about his 1 Star food, but also agreed the Ribeye needed improvement. He did take notes, so let’s see if anything changes.
We will return out of loyalty, but this will no longer be our go to at the Crest until their 5 Star pricing reflects a 5 Star meal.

This place has it all!! Once you arrive make sure you got everything you need from your car because there will be no need for anything else, they have every accommodation you need! If your looking for relaxation, delicious food, gorgeous views, great service, delicious cocktails all in one, I highly recommend Icona at Diamond beach. We had the luxury of staying here last weekend, and it was like going to the Caribbean. Our hotel room was clean with a gorgeous view of the ocean. We enjoyed cocktails at their Star bar, some delicious apps and listened to the live music play, of course a little dancing too. Next day we had an excellent breakfast at coastal blue (great variety of breakfast options) then sat pool side for a few hours before heading to their beautiful private beach. You can order food and beverages 🥂 on the beach, no need to bring anything with you as they have all the accommodations you need. We enjoyed their peach salad, crab and shrimp cocktail, chicken sandwich and tried their pizza. Everything was fresh, and made to order! After an amazing day on the beach we got dressed, went back to the beautiful coastal blue dinning room for Chef John’s dinner menu and it was EXCELLENT! Service was top notch, food was excellently prepared 10/10 for this place! I can not wait to go back here

Staying at the hotel where Coastal Blue is located. Went for a bite to eat when we arrived. I ordered a shrimp cocktail-which aside from not being deveined, was not fully cooked. Luckily I did not get sick. Had dinner there as well that night. Had the Chicken Mole and my husband had the steak-both very good. Service is spotty at best-had to wave down our server several times. Judging by the age group of the staff, they might need adult supervision.

A beautiful restaurant with a very efficient staff. Three friends and I had dinner on a weeknight when they were not too busy. The ambiance was very warm and inviting. The food was good and our waiter, Christopher, did an excellent job of explaining the menu and seeing to our every need. I would highly recommend this as a must visit!!

The lady that worked the bar in the mornings was amazing. Great service, good food and great atmosphere. I was in a rush and when she found out she made sure the kitchen made my food sooner than later

Not expensive but lacking the quality of food and service even for reasonable Jersey Shore prices. Generally not a good experience.
The first red flag was filthy silverware. The second was a very underdone scallop appetizer. Overall the food seemed to start with quality ingredients but was prepared in a way that seemed amateurish. The staff was friendly but lacking solid hospitality skills.
Again, not expensive given the location but we left feeling that we'd have had a better experience at a decent diner.

My wife and I went for breakfast on a Friday morning. I ordered The Apple and Cinnamon stuffed pancakes. What I got were three dry pancakes with cold applesauce dumped on the top of the pancakes. I had to ask the server three times for a beverage before I received it. Would not eat here again.

Was down for memorial weekend staying at Icona Diamond beach which is an awesome hotel we ate at coastal blue 2 nights in a row the food and the service was excellent starting with the sushi which was amazingly fresh to the mussels in white appetizer and the rib eye steak which was cooked perfectly and can't forget to mention the awesome crab cakes to. Do yourself a favorite and stop here for dinner.
Many props to chef John can't wait to return in June.

Today was our first time visiting the restaurant inside Icona, and it did not disappoint.
The food was great, good options for kids as well, our server Ariana was very knowledgeable and attentive, made us feel very welcomed.
Dessert wise, we had a few options, key lime pie was delicious, but the chocolate cake was a bit too sweet for us.
Overall our visit here was very pleasant!

Great food. But Alex the waiter was extremely rude. After specifying we wanted a small dessert to share he brought us carrot cake for two for 16 dollars. When I brought this to his attention he said “well if you don’t have the money for it, I’ll take it off the Bill” all in a demeaning tone. Yikes. Insulting experience
