We usually stop for lunch and sandwiches are very good… we had chicken park, roast beef hoagie and grilled chicken and it was delicious… can’t go wrong… easy to park and outdoor seating on the sidewalk…
Be sure to check the menu price before you order/pay for anything at Rita’s on NJ Ave. I ordered a bagel with bacon and cheese (no egg) and the owner rang me up for $8.17. I’m used to paying higher prices down here, but when...I checked the menu online while waiting for my sandwich, even with egg (that I didn’t get) and a $.50 upcharge for a bagel it should’ve been no more than $6. I asked her about it and she said that their online menu was “six years” out of date. So today I had my husband go in a grab a paper menu (dated 2018) and the pricing matched what I saw online. So not only did she blatantly overcharge me, she lied to my face when nicely questioned about the price. I definitely won’t be back – not a big loss for her -- but just thought others should be aware before being charged 30% more than the menu price.More
The Good. The best thing about this place are the tables outside and the great views of the bay. Breakfast items like omelets and breakfast sandwiches. The chicken Caesar was very good. The Average. Things like hoagies, cheese steaks, etc, were disappointing, very average at...best. The Bad. The personalities of the help range from very nice to downright bitchy and rude. Beware of the dark haired girl with glasses. I don't know if she's the owner's daughter or not, but I can't imagine that she would still have a job if she wasn't. This girl has "resting b-face" down to an art. Her specialty seems to be the "I'm freezing you in your tracks for bothering me" stare. Seriously, I don't think I've ever run into someone quite like her in the restaurant business.More
This is one of our favorite places in Wildwood Crest. We stop there for great breakfasts - Muffins, danish, breakfast sandwiches, and coffee (and as good of a bagel as you will find down there - though not really good by North Jersey standards). It is...really peaceful in the mornings to walk over, grab a breakfast and sit at one of their outdoor tables with a great view of the bay.
We also always buy our cold cuts and other lunch accompaniments there. Could not recommend this any higherMore
