Ordered take out from here for our family of four tonight. There was tons of food and it was all very delicious. The beans and rice were fresh and tortillas appeared to be homemade. The food reminded me of when we ate Mexican food In...Old Town San Diego. The kids had the fajitas. My husband and I each had one of their specials and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend!More
Excellent tacos lengua. Green hot sauce is perfect. Had to do takeout because of covid and it was ready when I walked in 20 minutes later. Staff very friendly. Can't wait to have again.
We were in wildwood for the weekend and was in the mood for some authentic Mexican food and did a search on this place and OMG, was the best Mexican food...we werent real hungry when we ordered but when it was delivered we devoured it......haven't done that in awhile. Anyway, ordered chorizo taco and steak tacos with all the fixin... was delish. We know where we are eating next time we are in town for sureMore
Small establishment but the food is downright authentic. Meals are HUGE and plentiful and oh so delicious. We were going to eat in the restaurant however it was too warm and decided on take out. The counterperson was super friendly and helpful.
We had dinner and the food was awesome. It's not a fancy place but great service and great food. Had the tostadas de tinga(shredded chicken), my husband had the bistec a la Mexicans (steak) it was delicious. The price is great. Will definitely come back....Authentic food. Better than Mi banderita restaurant, overpriced and not authentic.More
Very pleasant surprise, truly authentic mexican food. Not a fancy place, but the food was awesome, serving sizes almost too big, not a bad thing, and extremely affordable. Would go back anytime.
We waited 15-20 min before anyone came to take our order. They were not busy. We ordered water to drink and the quesadilla and chicken tacos. They brought out our food before we even got our drinks. Had to ask again for water and silverware...after we had gotten our food. The quesadilla was tolerable but not very good and unlike many mexican restaurants there was hardly any rice or beans. My girlfriend got the chicken tacos and they were so dry she was literally dipping them in her water just to eat them. Just a bad experience overall.More
Had another great authentic Mexican dinner last night, and will have a great lunch today with all the leftovers. The two of us shared the Chicken Tacos and The Molcajete(a hugh pot of shrimp, chicken, beef, onions, peppers, cactus leaf, with fajitas)......that platter alone is enough for two...people. All that food for under $25.00...We enjoy the simple decor and attentive service in this BYOB and feel confident in Highly Recommending it to others !More
Tasty and affordable says it. The people were very nice and service prompt. We ordered two dishes we have had elsewhere to compare. I had pechuga. It was chicken breast topped with tomato & onion. Others I've had were filled breasts filled with crab and...topped with a brown sauce. Me fiance had tampiquena which was steak-ums. The others offer a 1lb steak. The "dining room" was a few small booths and two folding tables and chairs for larger parties. Behind the counter was what seemed to be spare storage (onions and such). If we want something fast we might order from here but would take it home. Two other locations come to mind for casual dining that we prefer.More
We wandered into this place while walking around looking for a place to have dinner without an hour wait. It is very casual. You walk in and seat yourself. Don't expect friendly, outgoing service here. Do expect delicious food at bargain prices! My only complaints...were no traditional salsa and no guacamole on the menu. You were given chips and two sauces when seated. Only try the green sauce if you are brave! The dinners themselves were not spicy. You have the option of adding the green and red sauces to your desired level of heat. Food was delicious. Once the food came, I forgot all about the borderline rude service. Dinner for two was 20 bucks! No alcohol served.More
I went to this restaurant based on reviews that I read online and definitively, based on my own experience I highly recommend. I compared prices of this restaurant and other Mexican Restaurants located in The Wildwoods and Cape May and I ended up choosing this...one because of the positive reviews people wrote online but also because they are affordable. The food is fresh, great flavor and is authentic Mexican Cuisine. In addition, the food is extremely affordable comparing to other restaurants in the area including Cape May. The staff is very attentive and I assume this is a family owned business - they are very friendly. In addition, they will serve you big portions. My wife ordered the Chicken Fajitas, for my child we ordered $2 Quesadilla and I ordered The Molcajete which was huge. I would say that both plates we ordered it was basically food for two people. Something note worthy is that the food is fresh. You have to wait average time so they can prepare your food and specially the tortillas which are home home. I drank home made Tamarind Agua Fresca and it was delicious. Please visit this restaurant of you are in The Wildwoods/Cape May Area you are going to have a full and very positive experience at a great price. Support this Business!More
Ordered the chimichangas without beans and rice. Ansolutely fabulous!!!! The sauces were spicy, the music was Mexican music on a old school jukebox, the owners were so friendly. Not a fancy joint. But, oh so authentic and delicious. Did I mention it is byob? Double...win!!More
Great food. Huge portions. Reasonable prices. We paid $15 per person for food and non-alcoholic drinks. BYOB. I easily could have eaten half my meal and saved the other half for the next day, but the food was so good that I couldn't stop eating...until my plate was clean. Skip the boardwalk and come here.... You won't regret it!More
