Stopped in last night after dinner in town, for a coffee drink, which my husband and I have done before, multiple times with different people and none of us live in Westfield. The place and bar were quite busy, took the coats off only to...be told the owner has decided that after 10:30 on a Friday or Saturday night - no more drinks are to be served at the bar. I tried to see if we could sit at a table and that wasn’t going to work either. The time was 10:35. Dear owner, you get to decide the rules, but this one really killed me, because anyone at a table could get the coffee. Oh, well - there are lots of other towns to go explore.More

Loved everything about this place! Felt the energy as soon as we walked in. Were seated promptly. Excellent cocktail and wine list. Fine steaks - we had a NY Strip and a Ribeye both cooked to perfection. Sides were also special. Service very professional and...prompt. Will definitely go again!More

I went to Sweet Waters as a spur of the moment treat for myself and family this past Saturday, and definitely enjoyed myself. After a minor hiccup with our reservation, which was totally my fault, the staff found room for us and had us seated...within 10 minutes. We were starved but it was already late, so we skipped appetizers and went straight to the "meat" of the email, pun intended. We did eat some bread, though, and the olive tapenade was excellent! When my mother expressed how much she liked it, our server brought out an extra bowl! We also had some cocktails. I ordered an old fashioned that was described just as I prefer mine: with an expressed orange peel and no mention of muddled bar fruit. As you can imagine, I was disappointed to receive a bright pink glass of bourbon and muddled maraschino cherries. I didn't complain and they didn't comment on my unfinished drink. Moving on... For our meals, we ordered the filet mignon, rack of lamb and cowboy steak for myself. We also shared an order of truffle fries. All of our meals were excellent, I thought. The risotto that came with the lamb was really good, none of us could stop eating the truffle fries, and my steak didn't stand a chance! It was tender and cooked just right. I also enjoyed glass of the Daniel Cohn "Bellacosa" Cabernet Sauvignon, which was outstanding, if perhaps a little pricey. I remember when Sweet Waters first opened, and, in fact, lived right around the corner when it did. This was my first visit since then and I am happy to see them thriving. This is a nice, authentic NYC-style steak house that is worth a visit. Get a steak or the lamb, get some sides, definitely get some wine... just skip the old fashioned.More

We went there for dinner. My wife had Chilean Sea Bass, which was excellent, and appropriately priced. I had the Cowboy Steak. When I spend $48 for a steak, I expect Peter Luger quality. This was not even close. It was way overpriced and no...where near worth $48... small, thin, and fatty. The oysters appetizer and creme brulee dessert were excellent, but the overpriced steak left me dissatisfied. Service was excellent and friendly. One piece of advice... ditch the plastic plants and flowers in the window box and replace them with real plants. Mike B.More

But noise level made it not a great spot for a business dinner. Food is excellent and fairly priced. Wine list was very good - but priced on the high side.

This establishment will never be confused with a good NYC steakhouse. Food is always good, but nothing special. Prices reflect good steak house , but quality of steak and flavor do not. The only way my wife and i go here is with a groupon...or other locally available coupon which makes prices acceptable.More
