We met friends at Cafe Capuano’s for dinner. I really liked their food. Their bread is amazing. It’s BYOB. Try the red snapper. Yum! Tomato & burrata was the best!

Cafe Capuano is a companion location to Capuano's on Clarkesville Road. It's a great place to order pizza and my personal favorite is the deep dish special which I order well done since I prefer a very firm crust.

We've been patronizing this place for a number of years, but the last two visits were not good. Italian restaurant whose sauce/gravy tastes like it came out of a jar, is not a good perception. Actually, the jar stuff at least has a taste. No...intention to return.More

Six people for dinner, food a disappointment. Limited menu for pre New Years dinner. Service disorganized, food below average. Food served was not hot, taste no character very bland. Been here before meal just was average. Won't be back to this one.

This is our favorite of the many Capuano family restaurants in this area mainly because of the depth of its menu, the superb quality of its meat and fish, and its excellent pizza. Unfortunately, I cannot eat pizza in most restaurants because I cannot eat...dairy products from cows and very few carry mozzarella di bufala or Pecorino or even goat cheese. Everyone else in my family can eat any cheese, and they all rate the pizza here as the best in the area. The meat lovers pizza is a huge favorite. You can get it to go, enjoy it on the pizza side or have it in the main dining room while others at your table order from the regular menu. The appetizers are standards that are extremely well made. Both the crisply fried calamari and thevsuculent grilled octopus are sensational. The House salad is fresh and crisp with a nice Balsamic dressing, and other larger salads are excellent too. The soups are also standards but very well done. The pasta dishes are perfectly cooked and properly sauced - every strand is nicely coated with sauce, but the pasta is not floating in a sea of red. Many sauces have cream or cheese added which makes a nice change from straight marinara. Entrees are where this Capuanos shines. Their whole Bronzino - which they will expertly bone for you - is fresh, and seasoned with a judicious hand. Other "Pesci" include Tilipia, Salmon, Shrimp and Lobster - all perfectly cooked. Both the fruits del mare seafood plate and the pasta with fruits da mare have a plentiful assortment of seafood cooked to perfection and not drowned in sauce or miscellaneous ingredients that only detract from the main event. There is a good selection of chicken and veal entrees, but there are often specials of grilled lamb chops, rack of lamb or double cut veal chops. They never disappoint, and are more than worth every penny of the slightly higher prices. The chef offers sides, but entrees usually come with a generous assortment of grilled or roasted vegetables. The desserts seem to be enjoyed by everyone around us including on occasion our grandchildren, but alas, I cannot eat anything but the sorbetto. The bread is a nice crusty bread great for sopping up sauces. The servers are pleasant and both helpful and assiduous about checking with the kitchen on ingredients in any given dish. Water, soft drinks, tea and coffee are available, but you are welcome to bring your own wine. Cafe Capuano offers a wide but not ridiculous number of choices so everything can be cooked to order, Whether you are dining on sandwiches, salads, pizza, panini, pasta or fish or meat, there is something for everyone here, and it is all delicious.More

We have been coming to Capuano for over 25 years. Seems like my daughter grew up here. The owner Manny is always very attentive and has no expanded his restuarant ownership all around the area. After more than a quarter century I have never had...a meal here that wasn't great. Their consistency amazes me. Their minestrone soup is the best, but definitely try one of their appetizer specials. They are always so creative and always delicious. They always have plenty of fish specials and the fish is always fresh, delicious and beautifully prepared, as are the seafood dishes on the menu (crab meat, shrimp, mussels and scallops). I love their fettucine Gypsy, my staple there, and all their sauces are very tasty. If you want a dessert you wont find anywhere else try their Kentucky Derby pie. Just a great, always dependable restaurant. Always has been from day one.More
