Still a reat local spot

This place have gone through too many iterations to count in recent history. What we have today is a bustling local restaurant with truly delicious food and great service. The pros: no reservations needed, food is simple, varied, and tasty (as are the drinks). The cons: prices have skyrocketed; noise levels are too much for comfort (don't know if it's just the acoustics of the place, but it's impossible to hear each other). And there you have it.

Great place!

We never heard about the Taphouse so we thought to give it a try. We went on a Tuesday night and almost every spot was filled in the parking lot. We walked in and the place was hopping and nearly every table was filled. I asked if this place is always so busy on a Tuesday night. A customer said "It is one of the hidden gems of Wayne". The host was so sweet and always smiling. I forgot to ask for a substitution because I don't eat fries. The manager was so very nice, kind and accommodating. He went to the kitchen and changed the order for me with a smile. He took the time to greet us and made us feel so welcome waiting for our take out order. The food was so DELICIOUS when we brought it home. I had the Chicken Bruschetta and the burgers were so juicy and delicious. They got the order perfect with the changes I made. They have Trivia night and Karaoke night too. Everyone looked like they were having so much fun. They had a party room too for events. We are definitely going back and bringing friends too. Thank you Taphouse for giving us a great experience and a wonderful meal!

too little food for too much price

Two friends and I went here tonight. No bread on the table. Two of us had the horseradish crusted salmon, It was just pan seared with white horseradish on top. the portion was half it could nave been for the price, The potatoes that came with it were over done. One of us had a sandwich which he said was nothing special. We should have gone to Maggies! Kim, our server, was very nice and helpful.

Reservations mean nothing unless you "reserve" a "specific" table...we will never return.

We had reservations for 5 people at 6:oo on a Saturday. We arrived on time and they proceeded to seat us at a table for 4. The table is small and putting a person on the end is unrealistic. We asked about 2 other tables nearby that would have easily seated 5 people. We were told that those tables were "reserved". Ummm...WE have "reservations". But I guess we did not "reserve" those specific tables. So they were going to seat us at a table for 4? If it was not my daughter's birthday, I would have walked out then and there. After we stood around with people at nearby tables looking at us (which made us uncomfortable), they finally decided to pull over a table for 2 to add to our table. We were assigned "Taylor" as our waitress...She was very professional and obviously brave as we were clearly designated as "difficult" to deal with because we insisted on receiving what we asked for when we made the reservation. I wish I could say things got better from here, but...I ordered the pear sangria, which was actually sour (sangria is usually sweet). I had the tomato soup (which was lukewarm and the bowl was only half full) with grilled cheese (also cold). Hubby had the chicken sandwich, which he said was good but the portion of chicken was small. Others with us did not comment on their food. The music was loud and the acoustics are bad. I don't often find a place I would not give a second chance to, but tonight I did. Never, ever again.

Great food and service

Great burgers. Great service. Youth hockey break and my 12 year old son and I ate at the bar. Burgers were awesome. We will be back again today.

A bit pricey

This is a bit above your typical bar fare. The burgers are really good and the meatloaf was excellent. I have been here multiple times for business lunches and haven't yet been disappointed. The pricing is a little high for burgers and such.

Went there for the view, and that is also all I got. Food was not a winner, but okay, but the service at the bar was none excisting. I hope he was just having a bad day.

We had my daughters bridal shower last Sunday at Taphouse. April the event coordinator was so helpful and always got back to us with any questions we had very quickly. Originally I had planned on having the brunch upstairs but soon realized it would not fit our needs. April looked into a switch and we ended up getting the whole downstairs restaurant which was perfect. The food was great the service was excellent and I would absolutely recommend them if you are hosting a party

Nice place and menu

This place is nice but pretty busy. The menu is good and food was tasty. (Grandma pizza and the short rib tacos were amazing) The service was quick for the most part. A little loud and dark. Beer selection wasn’t as impressive as I’d expect. Overall good!

Looking for local beers on tap

Firs time going to this place. Sat at the bar. Nice bar. Sweet bartender. She provided us with great service. I loved my beer i sampled and had to get a full beer of it. Hubby didnt like his beer. The one he reallly wanted tapped out. Overall this place is nice. Didnt have any food. We were strictly just looking to have some drinks. They had a few local beers on tap. Not a huge selection but more than another place we tried. Would go again.

Good for business dinner

I took my clients to dinner on Wednesday night and we sat down right away in a quiet section so we can hear ourselves talk. I started with the beet salad which was very good and had just the right amount of dressing. My entree was the NY strip steak which was excellent with a side of fries and Brussels sprouts which were both very tasty. Our sever was very nice, professional and courteous.

I find the menu used to be better

this is always a great place to have a drink and get a quick bite to eat. My personal opinion is that the menu had been better in the past. Don't get me wrong, the food always taste good...I just like the previous options better.
