We were very excited to try this restaurant, but we left knowing we will not be returning. The service was good, our waitress was Trinity and she was lovely, however the food left much to be desired. My husbands entree was cold in the center...and my chicken was very dry.More
Most unfortunate experience
And for the wrong reason!!
Started off okay. The waiter was pushy to get us to order. Then almost hostile when I repeatedly told him we needed more time. The menus was limited and some items not available ( snapper) . We...asked if they could fillet the fish rather than whole . Also requested it be cooked with some Basil. The Basil was brought to the table. The food was good, but not outstanding. They had a major leak in the bathroom and opened the doors. The air smelt like crap then overpowering cleaning. No desert was offered. Just a check. Then as we walked out, a MOUSE ran across the floor near the exit. My friend screamed. The waiter denied the fact she seen it and further tried to insult her intelligence.
The experience was aweful. But what was worse, is how it was handled so wrong.. If your the owner, you can contact me. I was the 7:15 reservation on Saturday night...November 21st.More
Service was fine. Price was fine. Ambience is pretty, but I would suggest lowering the lights on a Saturday night, adding lit votives to each table, and perhaps a small vase with one rose? We shared the branzino which came with soup or salad. We...also shared the grilled calamari as an appetizer. And we shared the cheesecake for dessert. Everything was delicious. This is a BYOB which is another plus !More
My wife & I had the gyro platter. The meat was dry and tastless. Two wait staff for a number of tables. The tempty table in front of me was not "bussed" and I had to see the mess while I ate the poor gyro....Never again.More
We have been long time patrons of this restaurant. Food is good and we like the bifteki, specials and gyro platter. On a recent visit we experienced an awful server. Slow, bringing us the wrong change and acting rudely when we complained, and simply unprofessional....We may consider not returning and choose other options in the future.More
I went to the Black Olive with friends and wasn't hungary for a big meal. Portions are larger and quite authentic. I found the perfect meal-the salas with lamb chops. The chops are grilled to a tasty perfection and on a large bed of salad....I had the carnivore satisfaction with the low cal high fiber salad.More
In the area for business, stopped for lunch. Nice venue, good service despite the one and only waitress servicing a number of tables.
Had only appetizers: chicken lemon soup, grilled squid with salad, and assorted hummus dip plate. All delicious and it was plenty of...food for both of us. Finished with a Greek coffee, nice lunch. Forty bucks with the tip. Good deal.More
We went mto the Blacl Olive for our 54th wedding anniversary dinner. We both love lamb. The watress recomended the leg of lamb which we ordered. I believe we got the lamb steak instead. It was tough and tastless. I did not question it at...the time, but wrote to them the next day. Thet still did not reply to my short note. I'm more upset that they don't care about their customers thought about their restaurant then I am about the bad meal. will not go backMore
