My Son and I had one of the best meals and experiences that I have had in quite some time. A friend referred me to Maplewood III and I owe him for this one. The service (Brian & Virginia) was top-notch and only surpassed by...the presentation and quality of our dinners. I had the Surf & Turf while my Son had the Duck. Both were cooked to perfection and complimented by a "family-style" salad, fresh bread and lobster bisque that ranked with the best of them. We had no room left for desert and I won't make that mistake on my next visit. Very reasonably priced considering our choices. I highly recommend.More

If you want a great Italian meal, this is the place. The Espositos do their best to accomodate special diets. They have a gluten free menu; if you wanted to eat something on the menu that wasn't gluten free, and they weren't too busy, they'd...likely make it for you. Hubby loves their desserts! Myself, I love spumoni after an Italian dinner. Be warned--ask for your dressing (salad) on the side, or get soup (theirs are home-made). Finally, not all Maplewoods are created equal. The Hammonton Maplewood does NOT know what eating gluten free means!More

Stopped in for dinner while spending one night in Vineland. This place is definitely a classic Italian restaurant. Wait staff are exceptional - obviously part of a team who has been in place for a long time. Food is fresh, well-prepared, and generous. In fact,...where there are options of "small plate" sizes for an entree, then by all means go for small. Especially if you are, like us, part of the senior crowd and don't need a great deal. This is obviously a place where locals dine. We think we were the only ones from out of town on a Sunday night (and during the off season). Go here for authentic Italian fare, because you will NOT be disappointed!More

First time I've been here in ten years and it is exactly the same. Even the same silk flowers in the holders! Our waitress was very nice. The food was good. For the expense, the food should have been remarkable. The entire experience was average....I don't think I'll go back again, not because anything was bad, but because when I get to go out I want it to be excellent. This was not.More

I hadn’t been to this establishment for quite some time. I ordered take out, stuffed shrimp, sweet potato mashed and string beans. It was quite delicious! Three fully stuffed shrimp cooked to perfection. The sweet potato mash was delicious and the string beans had a...nice flavor to them also!More

Our waiter was efficient but lacked personality. The dining experience started very good..the bruschetta, bread and salad were excellent. Two people in our party had the lobster bisque soup which was good but was lukewarm. We told the waiter but did not send it back....The crab cake and escarole and beans were very good. The lobster fra diavolo and shrimp fra diavolo were not spicy or hot and lacked flavor just very thick & heavy gravy/tomato sauce. Both the lobster and shrimps were cooked to perfect. The lasagna was just okay. I cant understand how this restaurant gets 4.5 stars.More

I enjoy their food, but sometimes find it isn't consistent. My mussels fra diavlo was good, but had much more sauce than usual. This isn't a complaint, but still inconsistency. Sometimes better than others.

The restaurant opens at 4 pm. We got there just about when it opened. Pretty much had the dining room to ourselves. The tossed salad, served family style, was very good. I had the fried seafood combination. Everything was excellent. Nice crispy light batter and...not oily. Wonderful meal.More

We come to this restaurant occasionally and it is usually a nice experience but arguably not an outstanding one. This time it was a business related dinner and the restaurant performed very well. The food was excellent and the service very good. They created a...proper atmosphere catering to customers needs. Good impression and good memories of the evening.More

Loved the food. My two granddaughters loved the 8 ounce filet. I had the soft shells which were good as always and my husband had the filet and crab cake. We always love their bread and dip along with their family style salad. We always...have good service and a nice selection of drinks.More

Sorry for the delay - there were a lot of children there so I think they do have things for them. I enjoyed watching an older man help a little girl learn how to twist her spaghetti! I would call them first - our dinner was... More
