Came in on a Friday night with my husband. The place looked pretty empty as they have many tables but the bar area was pretty busy. Husband and I were looking for a chill environment where to grab some good Italian food- craving pasta! The...food was good. The stuffed mushrooms were really good. I ordered the lobster pasta and they were VERY generous with the lobster in my plate and the meatball (as you can see on my pictures) was MORE than generous...it may have a little too much on his plate for my own preference, but if you like your big portions then come on in! One thing which I'm giving less than 4 stars was the "mood" of the place. Out of nowhere, they set up for karaoke and the 80'S music they were playing was VERY loud, I felt like it got louder by the minute. A few people got up and sang which was fun to watch but to my own personal liking, this was not what I expected during a somewhat romantic dinner. The waiter offered us some gelato, IT WAS AMAZING! I'm def going back for that :)More

I thought once they changed owners after a few months the food would get better but hit hasn't. They've tried to replicate the exact same dishes on the menu from the previous owners but they fall short no matter how many chances I give them....Don't get me wrong they're a 4 but they used to be a 4.5 and for those prices it's not really worth it unless it's unless somebody else is paying or you want to sit outside. The bartender is fantastic and your best bet is to sit there and eat. My Veal Sorrentino keeps coming out dry no matter how times I ask remind them. They're great people and work very hard but it's not exactly the same.More

I made reservations for 5:00 Thursday evening for my wife's birthday. We sat outside and had an amazing night. The staff were attentive but not over bearing, the drinks were good and the food was delicious. We had zuppa de mussels for our appetizer, my...wife got the crab cake and i had lobster ravioli all amazing. It's been awhile since we dined at Mario's but we will be back soon.More

A group of friends got together & chose Mario ' s for lunch . It's been in Union for years but this was the first time for us in about 4 years . The tables are placed nicely & the wait service was decent but...the food ( soup, salads & chicken parm sandwich was just ok - the soup had little seasoning, the sandwich was just medium warm. There are many other places in are- We would think twice before going againMore

I recently met someone at Mario's for dinner, only because it was halfway between the two towns we live in. Next time I meet my sister in law for dinner, we're going back. We happened to go at Christmastime, and it was beautifully decorated. The...food was delicious and the service was great. I'm hoping to return soon.More

Staff was super nice and courteous. The drinks were well made and tapas were also very good. The atmosphere was cozy and suitable for good conversation. I would recommend, if you are in the area to give this place a try.

The food was amazing the evening I went to Mario's, I had a pork chop with potatoes and a veg, a very nice glass of chardonnay. I wish I could remember the name of the meal, ugh!!! the pork chop was thick and tender, seasoned...perfectly. The bartendar was amazing, his name is Jason. I ate at the bar because it was packed.More

Have been going here for dinner for years. My family is never disappointed! The food, the service, the ambience, the generous drinks. Everything is always first class! For the first time ever, my family and I decided to have Christmas dinner out. We chose Mario's...since not too many restaurants are open on December 25. It was so much better than we expected! The waiters were happy and attentive, the food was great. The hostess walked around and talked to all the patrons. They had a big crowd but everyone was accommodated nicely and the meals were delicious from the shrimp francaise to the salmon to the vinegar pork chops...generous portions! Reasonable prices. One of the best restaurants in Union County.More

Met friends for lunch . We were seated promptly & the waiter was attentive. Our meals included french onion soup, pasta &vodka sauce, wedge salad& a steak sandwich - the portions were large, enough that we all took half home Unfortunately, - the vodka sauce...was lacking any real flavor, the french onion soup was blah, the wedge salad needed more seasoning & dressing ( when asked, more was give ) . THe steak sandwich was just ok . For a place that has been around for many years, we expected more pazzaz - something to draw us back again - it didn't happenMore

They have a lot of choices of food in their menu. I ordered the lasagna which I really enjoyed. The servers are nice and friendly. My only disappointment is they do not have enough parking. I had to park on a side street nearby on...the other side. For a senior like me, crossing a busy street was not easy. My friends and I were there for lunch.More

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! You have to try Mario’s! I used to bring my two older children here every Friday night for dinner and remember how delicious everything was. I haven’t been here for 18 years and while driving by, I decided to bring my husband for...dinner (and I didn’t have to cook). I had Veal Sorrentino ($25) and asparagus ($9) and my husband had Chicken Ala Mario ($19). I wouldn’t care if it was $40 each. They were out of this world delicious. I know the Osso Buco is $39, stuffed artichoke ($15), and stuffed mushrooms ($11) are beyond delicious too. The salad was fresh, and warm bread was served with olive oil garlic and basil. Sooo good! The portions are big enough that you could share; I think there’s a $5 charge. I know you’re probably thinking, OK, Italian food; it’s just like any other Italian place. It definitely is not like Mario’s. Mario’s is the best! It was early Friday evening and it was crowded! The courses were served so you have time to enjoy the food and have a conversation without being rushed, but there wasn’t a long wait for any of the courses. The wait staff is very professional. My only complaint is we were enjoying our dessert and a woman came in that must’ve bathed and doused herself in her perfume! I recall the entire restaurant just stopped eating and there were a lot of “oh my”s because it really ruined the ambience! The pictures are a picture of our table, how cozy the room is, how busy it was, and how much food was left over. Next time I’ll take a picture how beautiful the food is when it’s served. There is a bar area thar you can sit and wait for karaoke on Friday and Saturday nights. I used to do that with my girlfriends. My husband’s plate was empty of course. Teehee! I took my food to go and there was enough for lunch and dinner the next day! Oh wow, the perfume lady that stunk out our meal is in the background. Haha! I blacked out any faces of course! I had flan and Hubby had cheesecake. Again, delicious, delicious, delicious. We decided that this would be our overdue 17th Anniversary dinner that we had no time to celebrate. It was great! To sum it up, The food was out of this world 18 years ago and still is to this day! It’s actually better! This is going to be our new dinner spot! You won’t be disappointed!More

This restaurant is not on our weekly rotation as it is a little pricey and the bill for two will easily bring you over $100. Nice for special occasion or when friends are in town. Favorites include Stuffed Artichoke , Italian Long Peppers, Veal Milanese...and Beef Parpardalli. Service is good without being over bearing. Lounge side has music most nights. If you want to spurge come here.More

Hi, I am not sure if they have specials on certain days, but I do know if you get the Clipper magazine, there is usually a coupon off of your dinner check. It might mention on their website. I'm sure you will enjoy it... More

I’m not familiar with the coupons mentioned. But they are a good and accommodating restaurant team. Speak to Michael, he’ll try to do something nice for you.
