Something CHANGED! That is in the kitchen!!! And let the Hungry Gringo say it was for the best. The food was terrific. I haven't visited Allen for about 4 months, though I have been a regular since conception. My complaint in the past has alway been portion size. There was never enough food on the plate, especially for the price.... More

Great local seafood! Always tasty dishes that never disappoint. Clams, tuna, crab, fish, fried or broiled. Busy during summer but being local we get to enjoy year round. Definitely a local favorite!

Calling all seafood lovers! All the food here at Allen's is amazingly tasty! The steamers are great and so are the clam strips and fried fish. There is a lot of the menu that is fried so be aware of that. I tend to lean more towards the platters to get the extra sides that come with it.

We go the Allen's Clam Bar at least one each summer for the past 10 years. Quaint atmosphere, but food is good, I don't think they take reservations. Very popular with the local folk. Mainly sea food some chicken, good soup.

I like Deviled Clams. Ever had them served in the shell, nicely baked or broiled ? Allen's version of Deviled clam, served in a metal tin, tasted exactly like Thanksgiving turkey stuffing, with a few bit's of tough, chewy clam thrown in. Which would have been fine in the third week of November. All stuffing, no taste of tender clam... More

Very good Broiled Seafood Combination. Diner was good, hot and plentiful. The place is well kept and clean. It is. BYOB type establishment. We have added this place to our favorites list and have been there a few times since January. Our experience is the food is always fresh, very good and nicely prepared.
