I hate to do it Scojos but I have to say this time was not my favorite here. I get it, you want to increase your seating capacity and expand the inside to the outside. However sticking customers in a dirty parking lot under a...tent in 90 degree heat is not working and created an awful breakfast experience. I believe this restaurant is under new ownership and the menu pretty much stayed the same, they painted the outside of the building white and kept inside the same. However in order to increase patronage which I get, they added an event tent on the side parking lot outside the backdoor of the kitchen. This is all well in good except in cases where its 95 degrees under the tent, the lot is sort of nasty with exposed trash and deliveries and nasty puddles of sewage and the staff looks hot and miserable and there are no fans. Stick with the inside, cooled off part and don't bother with the outside. Another thing I will keep from my original review, change up the recipe of your home fries. They looks dismal and they are tasteless and pitiful. The food is otherwise not bad, prices are still outrageous ($16 bucks for a couple of eggs and toast?). Not sure I would be back here.More

Great breakfast and lunch place. Nice size portions. Indoor and outdoor dining. Huge wraps, salads and egg scrambles. Highly recommend. They add 3.5 percent if you use a credit card

Excellent breakfast place. Portions are huge. We ordered Huevos Rancheros with chorizo, a Breakfast burrito, Texas French toast and the silver dollar pancakes. Very filling. Kept us going for hours. Our server was very courteous. Definitely one of the places for us to re-visit at...our next LBI stayMore

Went for breakfast as had seen great reviews. Nice surroundings and lovely staff but seemed unclear on their understanding of gluten free. Menu had listed GF options on a few items but even those had gluten containing hollandaise sauce. Food quality otherwise good.

Good food, great location and quick service. Stop by for breakfast lunch or dinner. The menu is vast, almost makes it hard to order. But whatever you pick I’m sure you’ll enjoy

We spent a couple of days on the island. We visited ScoJo's twice, once for lunch and once for breakfast. Both time we sat outside, had excellent service and very happy with their menu.

Have driven by here for years thinking it's only for tourists, and we went for lunch yesterday and were pleasantly surprised. The food was fairly good, not amazing. The burger was good but had no seasoning in the meat and was well done rather than...med rare as requested, but carmelized onions made up for tasteless meat. My teenager had a great chicken quesadilla and my kids loved it. I would say a good breakfast or lunch spot especially with kids of any age. The ambience is very beachy and quite cute. Our waiter was a little out of it and may have forgotten to put in our order, but other tables near us were served quickly. The service was otherwise good and attentive. Kids loved the milkshakes.More

You cannot go wrong with just about everything on the menu at ScoJo. Fresh cooked to order breakfast items. Well trained and happy staff. This diner gets very busy during the summer, we went mid week in May and it was 3/4 full.

Went here with family and we all tried different aspects of the menu. All were great! French toast was awesome and the more lunch focused meals were great too. Wish we for a little more Cole slaw rather than a spoonful because it’s pretty good!

We had breakfast here TWICE. Wanted a good 'New Jersey' breakfast and ScoJo's did not disappoint. Owner seemed very nice and service was good (with safety taken seriously). The food was quite satisfying and just what the Dr. ordered. You will not go wrong eating...your breakfast here.More

Had breakfast here outdoors with the family while on vacation. Huge menu, all the food was delicious, and great service. The ability to check the wait time online was helpful. Would definitely come back!

Located on the main road in Surf City, we enjoyed our breakfast outdoors. Our server was friendly and attentive. Portion sizes were large. Great variety from which to choose. Street parking wasn’t an issue. We’d return and recommend.

I think you can get pancakes as a vegan option. I don’t think they serve non dairy Butter, cream cheese, etc. Personally, I don’t think it’s a very good place if you’re vegan, but vegetarian you could manage.
