Jay's continue to have great food with excellent service. They serve the best Pad Thi. Nice to have a BYOB.

Excellent meal in a lovely cozy outdoor space. Very grateful for the careful covid protocol. Food and service are always remarkable at Jay’s!
Quality of food outstanding and wonderful presentation. Worth a drive to visit. We will return again.
We were there on a Saturday night in the off season (October). The place was packed with a line out the door. Fortunately a proprietor had made a reservation for us. We shared the pad thai and the broccolini/ brussel sprouts dish. Both were outstanding!!!!...Apparently Jay's Mom is Thai...hence the Pad Thai. Service was excellent. It is BYOB, so the bill was delightful. This is one of the better restaurants we have been to in a while. We were very pleasantly surprised. This is not typical Jersey shore.More
I went to Jay's while on a solo vacation off-season. The atmosphere was fine, I was looking for a quiet place, and the food was delicious. The scallops were perfectly seasoned and the fig and plum salad was a delicious surprise. Next time I'll probably...skip the dessert (some kind of chocolate cake). I was grateful Jay's was able to make me a takeout box of another entree for lunch the following day. Can't wait to go back.More
Jay’s on Third is one our favorite restaurants on Seven Mile Island. The food is terrific and to service is gracious. It is expensive but worth it. The boneless roc appetizer and pad Thai entree are particularly good.
One of our new favorites in Stone Harbor. Salmon was done perfectly and paired with sides that aren’t overpowering. Filet with the roasted fingerlings is the perfect staple. Fig ‘salad’ starter was a special during our first visit and it certainly was special. The peach...caprese was equally tasty for our second visit. Finally, the pork chop is fantastic, tender, cooked perfectly and a worthy alternative to the filet. Make reservations early, enjoy the experience, and save room for dessert!More
As my husband and I were walking to Jay's on Third, I mentioned one of the reviews here saying that the food was on a par with Le Bernadin. Haha...we laughed about how ridiculous this was. But...WOW...this chef does know what he's doing. I had...a spicy tuna concoction (on special the night that we were there) that was off the charts. So good. So nuanced. So balanced. Incredible. My husband had corn fritters which were delicious. As a main course, I had the swordfish (very good) and my husband had the pad thai, which is every bit as amazing as the other reviewers have noted. We split a terrific passionfruit cheesecake (very nuanced) for dessert. Our server was terrific, and although the restaurant was loud, it felt happy and festive. We'll definitely be returning.More
Food issues in a moment. Our friends love this restaurant and usually sit in the original room; we sat in the former tarot reading store room. There was another party that was so loud that we could not hear ourselves talking...literally! And they got louder...as the meal proceeded. I finally asked the manager to please get them to quiet down. She sent over the waiter and was told either fxxx you or fxxx the other customer and continued as loudly as before. The manager should not have sent over the waiter but gone herself. Probably killed the waiters tip. As we left, I felt compelled to say something myself. I told them I they were the most fxxxing rude people I had encountered for being so loud in the restaurant and ignore the request for quiet. Their response was (unfortunately in kind) fxxx you and one of the table making shooing motions. As I walked out I told the manager that I would not voluntarily return to the restaurant. Don't know about our friends. Food For appetizers, I ordered oysters. I forget where they came from, but the strong muscle was not cut through and they were flat...deflated. I don't think that is normal for freshly open oysters. I didn't get sick from them but they were boring. The boneless ribs were very fatty. For main courses, a friend ordered the pork chop that he relished altho he said the accompanying risotto as boring. I ordered a fillet that was perfectly cooked (rare) but there was some green sauce under the garlic sauce that was vile. I didn't want to have my dinner redone so I just scraped it off. Fillets are usually pretty tasteless and so was mine, despite the perfect cooking but it was the only beef that was under 14 oz. I forget the rest of the dinner.More
Very very loud. So loud it is tough to carry on a conversation. Meals are ok but way overpriced. Menu somewhat limited and tables jammed together
