We were recommended to try The Bridge Inn for an evening meal and came away rather disappointed. Our experience was mediocre to say the least with poor customer service, average food and London type prices - £75.00 plus for 3 main courses and a couple of drinks. Not sure what all the fuss is about really.

Stopped in for lunch on our way back to Holt Barn Farm. Sat out by the River. We had the three local ciders 3 1/3pints, various other ciders and a jug of Pimms! And the most delicious lunches including steaks (done to perfection!). Priced just right for us. Staff were friendly, service was good. Weather was fantastic. Ample parking. Definitely... More

I was part of a party that had booked a table for 7pm. Although we were given sharing nibbles to put us on, my main course was placed before me at 8.30pm. The food was good and plentiful, but it is pricey.

I can highly recommend the Bridge Inn. We sat outside by the river and it was very peaceful and relaxed. We tried the tasting of three local ciders (3 x 1/3pint for £4) which was definitely worth a try and very good value. The food is at the more expensive end for pub food but definitely worth it! I had... More

The best Roast Beef I ever had. So delicious. Good size portion. No problem with place. We stop for sandwiches but they offer lunch on Sunday with out booking. Very friendly and kind staff. Well done

Stopped by with 3 generations to enjoy a lunch. Well goodness me we did! Food just WONDERFUL we all agreed and the staff were so lovely. Of course our grandchildren and the best in the world but we don't expect everyone to agree. But it was as if we had brought our family home to this lovely pub - nothing... More

This pub is a little off the beaten track but it is definately worth the effort. We have always been made very welcome by the staff here. We have only ever visited for lunch but each time the food has been fantastic and imaginative. The pub is situated right alongside the little river and there are outside tables taking in... More

Went here with friends. The food was good, if I overpriced. £23.95 for an eight or ten ounce steak. The atmosphere, however, was good and the place was busy. We had booked so didn't wait long for our table but I would not recommend just turning up. You would most likely be disappointed.Service was good and the gentleman who served... More
