This little bistro used to be the best kept secret in the Somers Point ( off-shore ) area. My how times do change! They have taken a significant downward turn. I visited on a Saturday night with family in tow. The food was uneventful at best... overpriced and presented with no flair or creativity. The most dissappointing dish was the... More

Two years ago we were treated so rudely by maître d, so we stayed away. Gave Doc's Place another try twice again in last few weeks & dining room was hotter than the outside deck. Their explanation was temperature too hot for airconditioner to work effectively. If they want summer business, then invest in new airconditioner. The mussels were also... More

Super hot dining experience! For such an expensive place it's pretty ludicrous that the dining room is 87 degrees. Zero cooling, very hot inside. Did I mention how hot the dining room is? Noise: There is a lot of it, not quiet, not able to hear my guests across the table. Super loud, rowdy bar five feet away. Service: A... More

Had a birthday party dinner on a Sunday evening In July. 24 guests. We all sat inside as the heat was a bit unbearable and besides, 24 guests cannot be seated out on deck. Kudos to Doc's. Appetizers were great (Brie appetizer was fantastic), drinks were cold and yummy, dinner was hot and delicious. Server was awesome! Food all came... More

Overpriced plain meal. Won't be returning. 27 dollars for pasta in meat sauce ?? Really?? And didn't have any taste. Don't sit outside either. Our meal was covered in flies.

Absolutely loved the place, genuine and authentic American breakfast the way it is supposed to be. Service was also excellent. Make sure you don't get there starving, since it's popular and almost always a wait.

Nice place to enjoy a seafood dinner. There is seating on the inside and outside on the dock. If you travel by boat their are slips where you can tie up. There is ample parking if drive. The seafood was local and fresh, server friendly and attentive. There where five of us, each choosing a different seafood dinner, all were... More

On the terrace, overlooking the marina on the bay, just west of Ocean City, is a great place to dine. I love the view nd the food at Doc's. We had the clams and penne and scallops and penne. I liked my scallops and my friend enjoyed his clams - a draw. The show stopper was the crab cake in... More

My husband and I went there on a whim over July 4th weekend…pleasantly surprised that they accepted reservations and the food was pretty good. I got the blackened woo woo fish and my husband got the chicken parm. I really liked mine, but he didn't really like his very much, but I loved the inside ambiance…I would go again and... More

Description
Owned and operated by the Hieb family since 1987, The Doc’s Place offers inside and, seasonally permitted, alfresco dining in a luxury yacht basin - Harbour Cove Marina. We are open 11 months of the year (closed in January) and serve a traditional breakfast on Sundays and lunch and dinner daily (see www.thedocsplace.com for seasonal hours). Luncheons include jumbo lump crab meat Caesar salad – delicious; cheese steaks and Kobi burgers – the best around. Dinners embrace fresh fish; steaks and chops (our beef is competitive with any ‘steak’ house), shell fish - shrimp, clams and mussels; and accompaniments such as pomme de terre frits, cooked-to-order pasta and seasonal vegetables from New Jersey & the world! Our bar introduced this area to 7½ ounce martinis and Manhattans, poured to a meniscus! Our wine list is an oenophile’s delight. Our limited seating Thanksgiving Day dinner is legendary. Our private parties are spectacular. Try us, again!
