We had a wonderful lunch over looking the lake. The pot pie was outstanding and a home run plus the service was second to none. Also loved the colonial feel of the place. They also provided us discount coupons and information on the shops near by. We got some wonderful gifts for our family and met some nice folks along... More

I will soon be age 70. I first visited Smithville Inn in 1962 when my aunt & uncle took me there along with my cousin (same age, now deceased). I've been there many times since over the years but not recently. Obviously the place has changed as it's gone through various owners. I was pleased to find the attractiveness and... More

Sitting here waiting 4.5 hrs for a table tonight. First trip here. I hope the food makes up for the ridiculous amount of time we r waiting. Go to check on our reservation and they just told me we were never put in. SMH.

The Smithville Inn is a special place, set on the water with quaint charm, it is the place one would a expect a wedding or an engagement ring! The French onion soup is easily the best I have ever had. The chicken Pot pie will feed you and have leftovers for the next days lunch. Friday night seasonal offers are... More

We took a short vacation to South Jersey and do not care for Atlantic city. We heard from everybody to go to the Historic Smithville Inn. We were not disappointed. Food was really excellent. Good wine list. And excellent service. A little pricier than Fred and Ethel's but worth it. In season you probably need reservations. It will be worth... More

I recently visited Historic Smithville and dined at the Smithville Inn. The Inn offers a wonderful lunch menu and a beautiful environment. My food was delicious and presented nicely. The waitstaff was extremely helpful and friendly. Although the dining room was quite full, the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. Antiques and replicas throughout the Inn were amazing.

My wife and I each had the homemade chicken pot pie. It was very good and filling. We will go back again.

Visited there 10/22 and ordered Seafood Au Gratin. The dish had no taste, the seafood was rubbery. I don't see the popularity of this restaurant. The table were given was shoe horned up against a pillar with no room. I won't go back.

We dined here Thursday night and had a great meal. I ordered one of the Throwback Thursday meals (comes with salad and dessert for $20.00). I got the turkey dinner and it was fantastic! Everything you love about Thanksgiving but without any of the work. My husband ordered off the regular menu, he chose scallops over spinach pasta. It was... More

Description
Old world charm meets new world hospitality in this lovely lakeside landmark. A longtime locals favorite serving award winning classic continental cuisine with a modern flair. The restaurant, resurrected from an uncertain future in 1997 by the combined efforts of the Coppola & Bushar families, has since reclaimed its spot among the favorite dining locations in the Atlantic City area.
