Over the bridge and tucked around the corner is this great little restaurant! We stopped in for breakfast before the start of the Irish Festival and were pleasantly surprised with our meals! I had the Berries and Banana French toast, the husband had Eggs Benedict...with home fries and my son a bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich with home fries. All of us were pleased and we all agreed they have the most wonderful perfectly cooked & seasoned home fries! Coffee was great, iced tea and oj came in bottles.More
Great staff and great food, sorry but they were closed for dinner, great lunch though. The place is right by the lake.
Best lunch in Historic Smithville area. High quality ingredients- we had the Reuben with side of sautéed spinach and Turkey Avocado wrap with side of sweet potato fries. Absolutely delicious and plentiful servings. Highly recommend!
My husband and I went here for lunch. I ordered a chicken salad wrap with onion rings and my husband got the chicken avocado wrap with French fries and we shared. Everything was so delicious! The wraps were just out of this world. Stuffed, freshly...made and delicious. The place was clean and the the ladies working there were friendly and attentive. I highly recommend if you’re in the area. If I’m ever back that way I’ll definitely be stopping there again.More
Cute little place with excellent food. We got a lobster roll and Reuben sandwiches that were just incredibly delicious. And by the way the ladies that are running the place there were friendly and helpful and provided outstanding service. We will certainly be back
Our service was excellent. The waitress was more than attentive. We only left there a few minutes ago and are still talking about just how good the food was. The hamburgers are made to order and are very flavorful. Very large buns too. The lobster...roll was excellent as well. The roll was over flowing with the lobster salad. I had a honey mustard wrap which was very full and tasty. The slaw was exactly how I like, not to sweet. We highly recommend this restaurant to all of you traveling to Smithville Historic Site in New Jersey. You won't be disappointed. We were there in August of 2021.More
I had the crab cake appetizer on lettuce with sliced tomato because I didn’t want the bun. It was generous and delicious. My daughter got the California cheeseburger which was fantastic! The only reason I take one star off is because the bacon was not...crispy, it was not freshly cooked, seemed reheated, so the texture was off but still good. This is covid times so everything was to go. It was ready and well packaged with everything we needed, at the time they told us to come back (15 minutes on a Saturday afternoon which is impressive). We were on our own to find a place to eat outside but we got lucky there. We asked a nice couple if we could sit on the other side of a picnic table they were resting at, and they kindly said yes. They looked at what were eating and I think they went to Lakeside Grill for lunch too! Good service and reasonable prices. Would have been 5 stars with freshly cooked bacon, so it’s really 4.5 stars :) I will definitely be back if I’m looking for lunch in the area.More

There was no line in that place unlike the nearby places. I don’t understand because I got a great lunch from a super nice employee ! Recommended
have never had a bad meal all was very good we drive about 45 minutes to go there and our great granddaughter loves it we tried to go once a week weather permitting to take our ggd and get our lobster rolls but with the...virus we have not been able to go can't wait for the day to come when we can go back downMore
Made our annual Presidents Day stay to Smithville (stayed at the Colonial Inn for 3 nights) and was pleasantly surprised to see that a new restaurant opened since our last stay last February, the Lakeside Grill. Food is AMAZING! Very big portions and reasonably priced...for the portion size you receive. We ate there 2 mornings in a row (did take out and ate in our room). The breakfast wraps are so stuffed with whatever you order inside, that I personally could only eat half and was so full afterwards needed to take a nap!!! Eggs Benedict is done PERFECTLY and I'm a huge Eggs Benedict snob, hard to find one that is done to perfection. Glad to see there is another option for breakfast other than the bakery. Can't wait to go back for a day trip and try lunch or dinner.More
This restaurant located near the lake is small with just 9 tables. Prices are reasonable and our waitress was friendly and attentive. We had the standard lunch items and the portion size was decent. We were going to eat at one of the more well...known popular restaurants in the village but it had a 45 minute wait. Glad we came here instead.More
Since we live locally we decided to take a walk to the Lakeside Grill for breakfast. Had the Lorraine omelette, one of the best omelettes I’ve ever had. Tasty, cooked to perfection. Delicious home fries. My husband ordered the breakfast quesadilla. Not only was it...delicious but the quesadilla was home made. Cute little place. Limited seating. Looking forward to trying lunch and dinner there.More
Everything on the menu is great. We had lobster rolls, crab cakes, crab stuffed lobster and clam chowder. Everything was fresh and delicious. Prices were also very reasonable. Friendly service. Father and children in the kitchen, wife out front. Could not have been a better...experience. We recommend it for any group.More
