Old World Italian

Walking into this tiny bar area with a combo playing in the middle of the week, I couldn't believe we were in New Jersey. Very professional welcome, nicely laid tables. Attentive service. Shame it was a quick lunch. Food very good. A little more charm from the waiters would have taken it the extra half star. No hesitation to recommend. Best in area.

Secaucus has so many hotels, but not not much fine places to eat. After some good ones in the city center closed, this place became only remaining very fine dining place. Staffs are friendly and I can take anybody, family or lawyer or big shots from Japan. Try once, it is an old fashioned Italian place, don't be scared, they... More

My husband and I went to Bareli's after a long day at the "Walking Dead" convention nearby. We had plans to go into NYC for a fancy dinner but were too tired to make the trip, so we found Bareli's on Opentable. First impression was that it was very romantic and pretty. There was a bar area with a small... More

Okay, so my bad ordering the $51 lamb chops thinking I was going to get something amazing. While they were well prepared and tasty, there were only 3 average size chops. The side of sauteed spinach was drowning in olive oil. Everyone else enjoyed their choices: branzino and scallops with broccoli rabe and mushrooms (a special) but they were good,... More

After driving past this restaurant for years, wondering what it was like, my copilot and I went there for dinner tonight. Best decision of the day! Met Leo the owner. Started out with a bottle of Tommasi Amarone, waldorf salad with crab, and crab ravioli. Incredible! Ordered the Colorado lamb chops. Perfectly done, served with broccoli. Ended with tiramisu and... Went last Saturday to celebrate bday. Started at the bar which was rather small and had a couple of cocktails. We were then rushed to sit down for dinner due to over reservation. So sat down for dinner we did and our waiter was Hispanic who spoke fast with a heavy Spanish accent which made it a bit difficult to... More
