Very Good Dinners But Service Lacking

We stopped in for dinner and was seated immediately by the hostess and given menus. From there we waited, and waited and waited some more. Finally after 20 minutes I asked a server if she was our server and she advised us that she would take our drink order. I told her that we were ready to order as we had been waiting a long time. She took our orders and returned with our drinks. Some time later another server brought our dinners and told us that there had been a mix up in who was taking care of our table. My wife ordered the sizzling steak sandwich and I ordered a corned beef reuben which were both very good. Aside from the mix up in the beginning everything was very good. Our server was friendly, polite and professional.

Bring your winter woolies!

3 of us were in the area, and since Rod's is still in limbo we stopped here. It was early Saturday afternoon, it wasn't busy when we got there but it soon filled up. There were only 2 servers that I could see, but service was pleasant & unhurried. I noticed both crabcakes offered as an app & as a dinner, but no crabcake sandwich option. I was quickly assured that that would be no problem. When it arrived I was pleased to see that cocktail sauce was already on the plate, I'm not a fan of tartar. Nice touch. My companions both ordered burgers, they were happy enough with their burgers, but one man's fries were freshly fried & the others were noticeably old. Not OK! All of us were cold the entire time we were there & then I made the mistake of using the rest room, holy cow! Is the heat on?! FYI my 2 companions were male & they complained that were cold as well. Sadly my crabcake had no noticeable crab. But the sweet potato fries were good. Not sure I'd go back.

Grab a drink and the Sizzling Steak Special, enjoy, go home happy!

Never disappoints! Busy and loud but it’s a unique bar with really good food (unlike most bars that serve ok food). If you’re there late week evenings call for a reservation. Good selection of draft beers and full bar. A few apps but they’re good…chowder was very good. Three sizzling steak specials at our table.. fries or fried onions.. cooked to order and served sizzling on toast (hot plate!). One halibut ordered , equally cooked perfectly! Very reasonable prices. Great night!

Horrible service

We went to Harrigans for dinner the 24th of this month. It was ok then we got the bill. We left the waitress a $6.00 tip on a $50.00 bill. Which she thought was not good enough. So she then insulted us by saying that we needed the money more than her. So if you go there be careful how you tip because if you get this waitress she will insult you. Because of this experience I do not recommend this restaurant nor will we ever go there again. Chris

The Jersey Shore serves up another crappy meal. 45 minute wait: I get it….it was a Saturday night. 15 minutes waiting for a waitress to show up once we were seated….not a great look. Fish and chips: fish drenched in oil and French fries were previously cooked and then microwaved back to life. Steak was lined with grizzle. Thumbs down for all. Then when we were ready to pay the check the waitress was no where to be found again. Big bummer.

Great pub!

Had the pleasure of eating dinner on a humid summer night here. I had to wait about 8 mins. for a table which I did not mind at all. The service and food/drinks were excellent and hit the spot! Staff were very busy and did a great job of keeping up with the crowd despite the high temperatures!

One of my favorite places for lunch or dinner.....and the sizzling steak is fantastic.....and it does come sizzling....and is still cooking on the hot plate....and they have some good craft beers on draft.....if you are in there area at lunch or dinner....drop in

Great surprise

We don’t live in the area and so did not know what to expect, but we couldn’t have been more pleased, we enjoyed our beers and we had a number of appetizers which were all very good. The outdoor seating was delightful and we really enjoyed the casual and festive atmosphere, great place and we will be coming back.

I like the Atmophere ... good food .. friendly place to go ...I like the salmon ... and the drinks are good ,, a real Irish pub ... the prices on the food are good for the area. I met long time friends there< I din t get up to Sea Girt now with Covid and since I moved to Toms River. But hope to get up there in the fall.

Client wanted to go to lunch, told her about Harrigan's...so we went....had my favorite entree....sizzling steak rare...only way to order it as it cooks more as they bring it to the table, and is medium by the time you finish. and the have a nice selection of craft beers

Took my granddaughter out to lunch. Much better this time....the sizzling steak was nice and rare, just the way I like it. We love to dine at Harrigan's, and recommend it to anyone that visits or lives in the area.

OMG! Transported to Dublin in NJ! Have had almost everything on the menu, never missed excellent. Not even once! Guinness on tap, true Irish fare.
