Stage House used to be a very high end restourant serving fine cuisine. It has transformed to a nice local place to have a meal. Burgers, salads, ravioli, soups all very good. Nice casual atmosphere.

Nice restaurant in the center of Scotch Plains. Has an outdoor patio that is wonderful once the sun is off it. Indoor dining has 2 sides, one a "tavern" feel and one with the "tablecloths" for a more quiet dining. Menu is the same for any room throughout the restaurant, with a good children's menu and anything from sandwiches/burgers to... More

Wonderful- Sat outside in their courtyard and it felt like miles away from anything. Sat at a table to get tinis and food- all of their drinks special drinks are discounted from 10 to 5 bucks on Tuesdays. There is a bar to sit at but you can't get food there as explained by the hostess- no matter we were... More

Their lunch menu is one of the best in the area. For under $15 you can get either a soup or salad with your entree. The portions are big and the food is tasty.

Staff was so friendly, service was not rushed but it was attentive. Went on a Saturday night, parking in the back was tough but it was a nice night so parking across the street was fine. My not be as convenient in bad weather. We ate upstairs where it was spacious and quiet. Downstairs tables look a little more packed... More

The food was good, and was presented well. They have an extensive menu, so for whatever mood you are in, you will find something you like. The restaurant is very big, and has a nice atmosphere. I had a hamburger that was quite large, and tasty. My friend had meatloaf that was very good, and the mashed potatoes were good.... More

I ordered the ravioli and when it arrived the sauce which tasted like it came from a jar was all watery from not having drained the ravioli properly. The place looked like it hadn't been cleaned properly in who knows how long. The drinks are watery, just a place to avoid.

Took kids and grandchildren here for early dinner. This is an old tavern dating back to the Revolutionary war that is still in operation. The food was excellent their specialty being Ravioli of which they have several types, cheese, seafood, chicken with your choice of several sauces but all the dishes were great from the salads to dessert. Service was... More
