TABLA FINE INDIAN CUISINE, Ridgewood

A great choice for us for Christmas Eve! I love the lamb curry and next time I’ll get it even more spicy. The biryani is always done extremely well. We had it with shrimp. Big portions of great stuff always.

Two great visits

My family and I have had dinner from Tabla twice - once as a takeaway meal and once at the restaurant. We were very pleased with both meals. The quality of the ingredients is very high and each dish was nicely spiced. The portion size...of each dish was very reasonable. When we visited the restaurant, the service was excellent - extremely attentive. Ridgewood is fortunate that it now has several excellent Indian restaurants and Tabla is certainly one of the best. I should also note that the kitchen appears to listen carefully to guest requests around spice levels.More

Very Good Quality

Very happy with the quality and portion sizes. With a restaurant recommended Uber Eats delivery, we had our food delivered locally in under 30 minutes. It was very tasty, spiced well and enough for 2 meals each!

Much Better !

I’ve changed my opinion about this place after a few more recent visits with friends and neighbors, who all love it. Ask for a few suggestions, as the menu is extensive. The flavors are amazing and the portions are very generous. Helpful wait staff. Very...reasonably priced. I can’t wait to try the buffet on Saturday and Sunday.More

Best All Around Indian Restaurant

First time at this restaurant. Decor is nice with white table cloths. I like their tin ceiling. Complimentary papadum on the table. We started with samosas which had a some spice to them and were very good. My friend had a paneer dish and I...had lamb curry. Both were very good. The garlic naan was good and not overly garlicky. Service was very good except for the lassi my friend ordered which took s long time to come.More

Birthday Dinner

We had a great meal, from the wings for an appetizer to my lamb rogan josh, and the naan basket to share with 4 types of naan, each better than the last!!

Extremely unhappy

When Tabla first opened the food was very good, prices were inexpensive and service was good. Each visit gets worse in every category. Food was barely mediocre and Customer Service with manager/owner tonight was unacceptable. Orders were placed and reiterated several times to the waiter....When the bill came we were double charged and management got annoyed. Rather than argue, we paid the bill. Doubt I'll e wer go back. Tolerating the parking in Ridgewood is bad enough, but there are far better Indian restaurants in the area.More
