This is the third time we visited Birravino. We always start with the mussels: nicely prepared. The bread and fruity and aromatic olive oil are always so delicious, the pizza is always so delicious, the fruit crumble dessert is yummy. I was so disappointed to see that the pear/Brussels sprouts/almond salad with balsamic drizzle was off the menu. The way... More

Food is pricey but well worth the money. Homemade italian taste with very fresh ingredients. Hands down my favorite restaurant in the area. Service is great also.

Very good food but a bit too salty. left me with swollen fingers that night. But the real problem there is the noise. It is louder than most concerts and i fear i lost hearing as a result. i will not be returning, even though the food was very good.

I went in with a party of 7. Age 94 and down. They wanted to seat this little old lady on high top bar style tables. When we asked for a regular table they were not happy and placed us way in the back of a party already in session. To the right of us were 15 children with loud... More

The place wasn't full but it's noisy. The portion of its $28 salmon entree was small and the $23 gnocchi was half the size of what most restaurants would serve. Salads are between $12-14 but again portion was small. One big plus was that our server Tim was helpful and attentive.

My husband and I absolutely love Birravino formerly known as Basil T's. We've been to some fantastic restaurants in the area as well as Staten Island and Brooklyn and Manhattan. We've also traveled to Italy. I have to say the food is definitely comparable to Rome and Venice. The Bolognese sauce is to die for. Ive never had a disappointing... More

Dined off the restaurant week menu. Nice place, but a bit loud. Food good, drinks not so much so. And bread was nothing to write home about. I had the casa salad, sole and Napoleon for dessert. Everyone else at the table had a pasta dish. Everyone said the food was good, they gotta get some better bread though.

We went here on New Year's Eve prior to going to the Count Basie Theatre. We were nervous about getting out on time, but the service was wonderful, and the food was exceptional! We would certainly go back!

The music is loud but once you taste the food you don't mind it. We went there right at noon time during the week and the restaurant had just opened its doors. We ordered one of the chefs special appetizer offerings- octopus with fennel. It was absolutely tender and delicious. We followed that with an order of their pizza with... More
