Average food, great view of the marina. I think "good vibe" and passable food is the hallmark of Red Bank - at least that's what I'm told.

The bar is the best bar vibe in red bank with great cocktails. They can help accommodate all group sizes. Their appetizers are different and so delicious ! Their meals are great too, every time!

Went there for a wedding rehearsal dinner so about 30 people in an upstairs private room overlooking the river. Excellent wait staff and outstanding high quality food and wine and beer selection. I am going to go back to check out the regular menu!

I have been here before and really enjoyed my meal. Tonight was so average . Fish and chips were soggy and fries were cold and hard. Sent the fries black. Lobster roll nothing great. Cappuccino was bitter . There were three tables in use. Red...bank has tons of restaurants. Try a different one.More

Well almost don’t know where to start , the first visit in mid august as a late birthday dinner to my wife and 25 year old son.At first arrival we was excited by the view needless to say knowing what to expect to the reviews...that I read before going there , How much of a disappointment it was as the terrible reviews I read. My calm wife and give it a chance son were as disappointed as I was, I was so embarrassed that I took them to this place . Well, well , I gave it another shot thinking that maybe it was just a bad day back in august , haha , I was not surprised the service was worst than the first time and the food was super bad after waiting for over 40 minutes after a horrible appetizer burnt calamari so so tortilla chips , after that long wait to get a cold rib eye steak with roasted potatoes that they look like they dropped them on the floor cold carrots and after 2- bites sent back to getting it back needless to say the same plate of food with the same cold carrots and potatoes and steak . After getting the manager involved it didn’t get any better. We ordered dessert and it took as long as the entree . Please , please , read this review either give them a shot to see what we are saying or stay the farthest away from this dump . Will never go there again. Peter DMore

26 West has been a favorite of ours since it opened. They did a great job during COVID and we supported them by ordering takeout- we had hoped they would survive the pandemic and are so happy that they did. We recently went for dinner...and were seated on the roof top. It was a beautiful night and the views of the boats on the Navesink are lovely. It is a very relaxing space. We were able to make reservations online and I confirmed over the phone several days in advance. The place was crowded and it looked like they may have been short staffed. There was a line at the hostess stand when we arrived (despite all parties seemingly having reservations) and while our waitress was excellent, I think she had to service the entire rooftop alone. We were not in a hurry and enjoyed sitting back with our cocktails, but I did feel bad for our waitress as she was very busy. I understand many places are having trouble finding employees due to COVID, so I do not think this is typical of the restaurant. We always enjoy the food- salads, seafood, appetizers- really have never had any complaints. Portions are a good size and reasonably priced. Definitely a lovely warm weather spot to dine in Red Bank- looking forward to spending many summer nights on that rooftop!More

We sat on the rooftop and the view was pretty if you look to the left, but the right consists of a telephone pole and stores, looking straight down is the marina and storage. First , I will celebrate the good. The food is delicious....The restaurant is beautiful. The hostesses are lovely. Very classy look. Second, I will politely suggest room for improvement: They are short staffed at this time. That means waiting over an hour for a drink and appetizers and then dinner after. This is after their reservation system warns you that you only have 2 hours to eat for a party of 4. We would have been fine with that if they could have produced food within 2 hours. One waitress was responsible for an entire floor, I felt so bad for the waitress. An impossible task and the manager wouldn’t help her-she said all drinks must go through the waitress, even after it was clear that this poor girl couldn’t handle 8 tables at the same time, without assistance. Such a shame because it’s a pretty location after forgiving the flaws and a pretty view of the Oyster Point hotel and Navesink river... but they don’t have their stuff together yet. Manager apologized but her compensation was a disaster, she comped a side of fries and was unable to get the drinks right. I don’t even know how to explain the hot mess that was tonight. So sad because it was supposed to be a celebration for my husband and we had to starve through half of dinner because the food don’t arrive for 70 minutes after seating-not even bread. In the end, we waited over an hour for appetizers minus one order that never arrived, got 2 out of 4 drinks correct, never came to check up on the meals, got the bill wrong, tip amounts were incorrectly calculated and suggested, and just disappointed us regarding service. The waitress did apologize for the short staff, and it was understandable, but just disappointing to celebrate a family occasion out and the restaurant is unable to accommodate with proper service. In the end, this gorgeous place is missing that ju nei sai quois and expected service that would make it truly the place it should be. I hope they are able to develop a staff training program that makes the customer feel appreciated and that they understand that people are coming here to celebrate moments in their life. Poor service ruins a restaurant experience. We love Red Bank and hope this special place recovers from the staffing issue.More

Dined here a month ago with family and we all walked away disappointed. The food quality is just not good. My swordfish was less then an half inch thick. The plate was covered with mashed potatoes. I ate a few bites and the server asked...if there was a problem. When I showed him the "Swordfish" he was embarrassed. Swordfish is a steak. Ok I chalked it up to Covid and cutting food costs. I gave the restaurant a 2nd chance last night and the food was still horrible. I do not think there is a real chef in the kitchen. The scallops over risotto - that was not risotto but instead yellow rice with added saffron smothered in buerre blanc sauce. 6 of us at the table, all six walked away disappointed. Sorry 2 strikes, your out 26 West.More

We've been to 26 West many times. The location is amazing, they have a wide food selection of interesting dishes and 24 craft beers on tap. Also, great ambiance. Should be perfect, right? The problem is the service - it's just consistently average at best....And the food is also just about okay; not amazing, which it should be. Our muscles were cold and the server (at the Bar where we ate) simply said "well I ordered them at the right time", the Tuna Tartare was bland with not much Tuna.More

This is a lovely upscale setting on the Navesink River. The Happy Hour food selection is pretty good - although there were more choices a few months ago. Drinks are good too, however the wines tend to be a bit pricey. Generally, the bartenders are...friendly and professional.More
