Dined here a month ago with family and we all walked away disappointed. The food quality is just not good. My swordfish was less then an half inch thick. The plate was covered with mashed potatoes. I ate a few bites and the server asked...if there was a problem. When I showed him the "Swordfish" he was embarrassed. Swordfish is a steak. Ok I chalked it up to Covid and cutting food costs. I gave the restaurant a 2nd chance last night and the food was still horrible. I do not think there is a real chef in the kitchen. The scallops over risotto - that was not risotto but instead yellow rice with added saffron smothered in buerre blanc sauce. 6 of us at the table, all six walked away disappointed. Sorry 2 strikes, your out 26 West.More

We've been to 26 West many times. The location is amazing, they have a wide food selection of interesting dishes and 24 craft beers on tap. Also, great ambiance. Should be perfect, right? The problem is the service - it's just consistently average at best....And the food is also just about okay; not amazing, which it should be. Our muscles were cold and the server (at the Bar where we ate) simply said "well I ordered them at the right time", the Tuna Tartare was bland with not much Tuna.More

We enjoyed the black Manhattan (barrel aged) and snacked on the buffalo cauliflower and the shishito peppers. Both appetizers were excellent. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed. The service is prompt and attentive. Would be great on a warm sunny day with a view of...the water.More

Picked this restaurant because it was on the river, and near where we were going. We were met promptly and seated with window views(spectacular). Had a really delicious lunch, and loved our server, Drinks a little bit priccey, but overall would strongly recommend.

This is a lovely upscale setting on the Navesink River. The Happy Hour food selection is pretty good - although there were more choices a few months ago. Drinks are good too, however the wines tend to be a bit pricey. Generally, the bartenders are...friendly and professional.More

My wife and I went for the special Muscle Monday.(all you can eat muscles in a choice of 3 sauces with 1 beer or glass of wine included for a fixed price). Luckily the view of the Navesink River is great because the service was...slow. Refill order of muscles was only warm, not hot, Too many better restaurant experiences on the Jersey Shore to warrant a return,More

I was browsing in a boutique &my husband was asking for a lunch recommendation. Just a couple of blocks away & we both loved it. On the water, nice views, clean, comfortable & a great wait staff. Attentive but not intrusive. We shared the grilled...octopus appetizer. It was tender and delicious - dressed with pesto & tossed with chorizo and roasted potatoes, topped with an arugula salad. Delicious. We then split the Block Island lobster roll & crab cake. We both agreed that all 3 were perfect. Would definitely go back again & we went straight back to the boutique to thank them for their tip.More

Went here with family of 5 for dinner. Heard about their special for the day (was supposed to be discounted burgers) and found out that the special was only on two specific burgers (chili or bacon) - so only two of us tried the bacon...burger, the others went for lobster rolls or a starter for a entree. The lobster rolls were good, the gnocchi starter was just ok, and the burgers were 'just ok'. The view of the Navesink was great. The service was slow, not just for the appetizers, 1 soup, 2 salads, but also for the entrees. We actually went looking for the server since two other tables who came in after us got served before us. The total bill with 4 drinks (during happy hour), 3 appetizers, 1 starter for a entree, two lobster rolls and the burger special, was $38/pp. Expected for NJ, not good for what was supposed to be a simple, sandwich, burger outing.More
