We live a couple miles down the road. As many have no doubt written, from the outside Verona looks nondescript. Inside, the atmosphere is an understated elegance. No monitor on the wall...thank god. Just lovely dining music. The food is excellent. My wife and I...had Christmas Eve dinner there. I had Veal Sorentino which, sliced thinly, was delicious. In prior visits I had the Chicken Verona, which was also excellent. With entre prices in the mid- $20 Verona offers excellent value. This is also a BYO, which I happen to always like.More

I’ve dined here before however it’s been a while. I ordered the Linguine Verona. It was very soupy and the pasta was over cooked. My wife ordered the clams casino and the Pasta Fajioli. The clams casino were very breaded and did not seam fresh...(previously frozen?). The pasta fajioli had very little pasta and was mostly broth with some beans. All three dishes were disappointing. One redeeming note - the beet salad was acceptable.More

Great food, great service. Will go again soon! Food fresh and tasty, BYOB, provided glasses and even threw in a delicious dessert.

This place is a weekly occurrence. They never disappoint; delicious food and great service. When it’s warm the outside patio is a wonderful place to enjoy dinner.

Enjoyed dinner with another couple here recently and were not disappointed. The service is just attentive enough without being overbearing, the food is fantastic and the restaurant itself is cozy and relaxing. We highly recommend the meatballs appetizer and tuna carpaccio for starters. I asked...for gluten free pasta with my shrimp scampi and it was to die for. The shrimp were large and plentiful and the gluten free pasta was cooked to perfection! The veal parmesan is also highly recommended as is the lobster ravioli. It is a BYOB which is also great.More

A wonderful dinner every time I’ve gone. Attentive service. My favorite is the Eggplant Rollatini appetizer, which I sometimes have for an entree. All the high ratings must mean it’s pretty good. Don’t be put off by the strip mall location. Make a reservation. The...parking lot is pretty full every night.More

This BYOB was a wonderful find for us! It was a halfway meeting point for ourselves and another couple and couldn't be more please with the quality of the food and generous portion sizes. We dined on the patio which is very charming ( and...also equipped with stand alone heaters should the temperature warrant the use of them). The interior dining area is also very inviting too. The chef definitely knows what she/he is doing in the kitchen. Very authentic Italian food! We will certainly be back in the very near future.More

The Sunday to Thursday Price Fixed Dinner has to be one of the TOP values in Northern NJ!!! What an assortment we had to select from!! The Eggplant Rollatini was as good/better than we were served at some of the Very Big-Named Manhattan Italian Restaurants....My appetizer of Baby Mussels in the tastiest Spicy Broth were both delicious as well as twice the serving size you would expect in a price fixed offering. All of our main courses again followed the theme of delicious and very well portioned dinners and our choices ranged from a beautifully made Risotto to Chicken Entree to an Excellent Veal Milanese!! And the Tiramisu and Cannoli we picked for desert with coffee proved the perfect end to a wonderful dinner out with friends. Nicely maintained room - personable and professional staff - all coming at a really ‘Bargain Price’ dinner out at this Morris County BYOB!!! This place deserves our Repeat visits! It really is THAT good.More

I have been here a few times over the years, usually for family events and celebrations. The food has been good and reliable, the menu is substantial and offers dishes for a variety of tastes and moods, and the setting is quite cozy and casually...upscale, despite the location at the end of a small strip mall next to a gas station and convenience store. The only real complaint is that the pace on our last visit was frustratingly slow though it was not overly busy, from getting water, to ordering drinks, to getting bread, to actually ordering food, to getting the bill. Servers seemed to avoid eye contact, failed to recognize the normal signs that a diner wants to engage, found ways to walk without facing our table, and did not come back for long periods. We were also surprised when the bread finally arrived that there were several fewer pieces than people at the table. Once we had their attention, the servers were generally helpful and responsive. Dishes we tried included fried calamari (pretty good, though no tentacles!), eggplant rollatini (delicious), pasta bolognese (very tasty, though cooked a little too long), linguine with white clam sauce (delicious with lots of clam meat and slices of garlic cooked perfectly soft), and dessert -- tiramisu, bread pudding, and mini cannolis that were all very tasty. There is also a very reasonable prix fixe menu during the week that includes a lot of great choices. With a little more attention to timing, this would warrant a 4th star.More

Food here is always good and they now have outdoor dining in good weather which is really pleasant. They are a BYOB restaurant which can save you some money. Best value is their fixed price menu Sunday to Thursday. Large selection to choose from with...choice of appetizer, main course, dessert and coffee and tea guaranteed to make you leaving satisfied. Great local restaurant that was written up in The NY Times. Loved the eggplant rollatini, salads, Osso bocco, linguini with clam sauce and I can go on.More

This was a rich dining experience at more than reasonable prices. The servings are very ample that my wife and I had to take half our meals home. Maybe it was the rich bowlful of Butternut Puree we started with. Each of our dishes were...rich and favorable.More

Verona has become our go-to restaurant when we need a delicious dinner and a nice, quiet evening out. We’ve always had delicious meals no matter what we’ve ordered. The ambience is conducive to a great evening whether as a couple or with friends. Try the...eggplant rollotini, it’s delicious as are the fried calamari. The pasta dishes, chicken, veal or fish are all worth a try. The best part is that it is BYOB !More
