Nothing fancy but a nice varied menu and delicious food - we had the Mole chicken and the California burrito. Both were outstanding. Don't forget to BYOB.

Took my staff to lunch today at Tortugas Mexican restaurant. Great Mexican food. It has good size portions and the food is delicious. Be warned that in the evening there can be a wait.

This is such a hidden gem in Princeton NJ. Small, cozy yet very welcoming vibe. There is parking in the rear which is not that common in Princeton. We got the chip n dip on the house and the salsa was very fresh and bit soicy(but very yummy! We ordered the spicy chicken platter that came with two huge pcs... More

Recommnded by my girlfriend's sister, we visited Tortuga's twice in a week. I had the steak & shrimp fajitas both times, really good portion size and very tasty! Good, fast and friendly service too. You need to bring your own alcohol though - which to be honest was a good thing, we picked up a couple of beers from a... More

Food is awesome. Great chips and salsa put down before you order. Salsa is fresh with a little heat from jalapeno so all can partake. Quac is quite possibly the best I have had. Made fresh with a basket of fresh made chips. Heaven. I had a cheese burrito with beans, rice a very satisfying portion. Others had carnitas, tacos,... More

We had family members of all ages all at once at this restaurant for a celebration. Our food was excellent great portions and hot! The service was really good and they also scramble to make sure we could get seating for all 11 of us for our celebration. Staff was very pleasant and made the entire night enjoyable. We will... We had been to Tortuga's when it was in Lambertville, and then it was quite good. But apparently they have let it go downhill a bit after the move. The table salsa had way too much vinegar in it and was not very spicy. The appetizers were poorly done, the guacamole was not fresh/average supermarket quality and appeared to scooped... More

Cold, unappetizing, and simply terrible. I never knew Mexican food could be this bad and expensive at that.

I had heard good things about Tortuga's, so I was excited to try it. My fiancée, sister, and I went on a Wednesday night and the restaurant was almost dead, with only one or two other tables there. To start, we ordered the guacamole and a chicken quesadilla. Both appetizers came out within two minutes of ordering. Unfortunately, the guacamole... More

I have eaten here on several occasions and have really enjoyed the meal in the past. I always thought the food was authentic. However, the last visit was a disappointment. It might have been the time of day (Sunday evening) but the meal was not as good as I was expecting. The food was not hot and believe it or... More
