For those of us who have history in the area, the Ivy Inn and Hoagie Haven are two long surviving establishments because they know their customer and cater to them. If you're looking for an unpretentious, casual drink or meal at a value price this is the place for you. If not, go somewhere else. When you walk in, it... More

Stopped in for a drink before dinner next door at the Blue Point Grill. Asked for my usual, Bombay Sapphire on the rocks, no fruit. What they served me was not that (though I did see it was poured from a Sapphire bottle).

REALLY? What do you think we're running here? Well gin in a Bombay bottle? We have better things to do than save $.50 on your drink by pouring booze into booze into booze.. Maybe you palate was off as you hadn't filled it with fish yet. Think before you write--infuriating. And be CERTAIN as your fishmonger is reciprocally, that your... More

I read about the restaurant in the NJ monthly magazine. The burger was out of this world, great beef and hand made. French fries were great too! Owners were very hospitable too!

This is one of the only places on Nassau Street that hasn't been updated... It's old, divey and has good, cheap beer. It's a good place to watch a game or go to trivia. Bartenders are nice enough and there is a large pull down projector screen that displays the important game of the day.

This is a fun place to hang out before going to nearby BYO's. We stop in for a drink and to talk to the bartender. He (Chris) is very friendly and will even take our bottle of wine and keep it cold. We've also gone here for a light supper, but it's really bar food, so it's hard to find... More

Stopped in with my sweetie for a quick beer and was glad we did. Excellent prices and good atmosphere. It has the hoppy smell of a tavern (lingering smokey smell as well, not unpleasant) and very congeal staff. I can see why this is a popular place for visiting with friends and watching a game or two.
