The Peacock has had its ups and downs, and the decor won't be to everyone's tastes (it's arguably a little slick for a historic venue), but there's no doubting the refinement of the menu and the chef's ambitions. It's probably the only restaurant in Princeton with that plush carpet/hushed tones ambience that makes it well suited to either an expense... More

Food, fabulous! The kind of special that makes your tastebuds jump for joy! Everything unique and prepared perfectly! The room we were in was elegant but understated. The service was the same...there but not seen. Their version of an old fashioned cocktail was absolute perfection! All in all an excellent special occasion place. As my hubby made all the arrangements... More

My husband and I celebrated his birthday here. We did the tasting menu. For the most part we enjoyed our meal. The tuna tartar was outstanding. My husband peekytoe crab was too bland. The seared ricotta gnocchi were the highlight if the meal. My lamb and hubbies steak were way too tough and we complained. The pace of the meal... More

We celebrated my partner's 60th birthday last night at the Peacock Inn. What a disappointment. To start I had a martini. It cost $18.00 and the glass wasn't even full! We all did the 5 course tasting menu. I had the foie gras for the 1st course. It was minuscule, the entire course would have fit on a Ritz cracker.... More

This is a class bistro in an historic home, It is elegant with great service with convenient parking. The menu is rather limited, but one can expect a delicious meal.

I chose this restaurant for my birthday dinner and wasn't disappointed. The food and service were excellent! We also enjoyed the atmosphere and creative cocktails! We had octopus, tuna tartare, gnocchi to die for, scallops, and mascarpone cheesecake. All were delicious. We chose the a la carte menu instead of the pre- fix, which also looked amazing.

A cosy and romantic restaurant, with a great eclectic menu. Plates have great presentation and taste as good as they look. The Foie Gras Terrine, crab salad are both great starters. The lobster is fantastic - I highly recommend. I have also had an amazing rabbit dish. The desserts are consistently terrific. Great place for a special date night....or just... More

My husband and I went to the Peacock Inn for my birthday. It was very expensive, but worth every penny. The place is elegant, the service wonderful, and the food was delicious and beautifully presented. I had brussels salad, gnocchi, and loin of lamb. My husband had Portuguese octopus, pork belly, and lobster. Yum! It was a perfect celebration.

We decided to try the Peacock In restaurant on a Saturday night, and wanted to sit at the bar for our dinner. We found, with some difficulty, two seats together, at about 6:00. The bar proper is small (probably only about 12 seats) and 4-6 of them were reserved by one of the owners for his friends (family?). They don’t... More

We celebrated a birthday dinner at the Peacock Inn. The food is very good and I would specifically recommend the gnocchi. They do tout it as their signature dish and it does not disappoint. The gnocchi is very light, not dense. The octopus appetizer also earned high praise from the table. The desserts are limited and nothing terribly special. The... More
