Here is a restaurant that is BYOB and offers the coziest ambience. From the moment you arrive you are greeted by a friendly hostess. The experience begins once your meal is brought to your table. Being a resident of PP Beach I am quite spoiled as I can coax my fiancée to bring me to Spano's on Arnold Ave. as... More

This is an "Old World Italian" restaurant in every sense; huge delicious portions served efficiently with Italian music being piped in. My wife's Lasagna was bountiful; stuffed with meat and a great red sauce. My Gnocchi was as light as a cloud and yet so filling I could only eat half of the meal. My daughter had the Chicken Parm... Although we had an hour and 15 minute wait, the wait was worth every single minute. This was our first visit and certainly won't be our last. And you know how word travels...I haven't stopped talking about the outstanding meal & fantastic service at Spano's.

I've been here several times. The portions are so large that you could share it. Always had an excellent meal. It's great that you could BYOB. At the high season there's always a wait to get in because it's reasonable and the food is so good.

Visited Spanos for the first time and I WILL be back again. It was worth the wait. Food was plentiful and wait staff are top notch. Had to wait about a 1/2 hour for a table for 4. You need to make reservations for 5 or more people. Small cozy atmosphere and felt like home while there. You have to... More

Great food. Good service. BYOB! Get the Hot Shrimp Molly! Just an FYI - no reservations accepted unless you are a larger party. They also do take out. Great local place.

Been there several times and the food is always great, the wait staff is always very professional and courteous. It's a BYOB restaurant which I don't mind. The only problem is that since Spano's is so popular, there's always a wait for a table, which of course is not their fault. And the wait is worth it because the food... More

Description
Spano's Ristorante Italiano is a wonderful little store front restaurant just like you see in Brooklyn, with a quaint interior featuring oversized comfy booths and Italian music to complete the ambiance. The restaurant gets bustling after 6pm, and on weekends there can be quite a wait. The good news is they're open 7 days a week, so you can get the same amazing food on Tuesday without a wait. Speaking of the food, its authentic old world Italian prepared by Chef Joseph Spano. All ingredients are fresh, never frozen...fresh local fish and seafood, the highest quality veal, cut and pounded daily for the Veal dishes, Same with the chicken and eggplant, all prepared fresh daily. Spano's marinara sauce is the original winner of the Boss of the sauce contest sponsored by a local radio station and featuring all of the Shores Italian restaurants, as voted by a panel of judges and the general public. All of our ravioli, cheese filled, lobster, and specialty (like roasted butternut squash, or Osso Bucco) are handmade. They make the dough, they make the filling, and they stuff and cut each ravioli by hand. The portions are oversized, and the prices are very reasonable. They have an extensive menu and use only Certified Angus Beef, many of the dishes can be seen on their Facebook page at spanosristoranteitaliano and they open daily at 4pm. 7 days a week. With homemade desserts like the NY cheesecake, tiramisu, bread pudding and apizza dolce (Italian ricotta cheesecake) and delicious Cappuccino to finish off your meal, you can't go wrong at Spano's!
