Been going to Spano's for a long time and have never once been disappointed. Sometimes there's a little wait to get a table, especially on weekends but well worth it. Decent pricing with large portions. Great atmosphere right in downtown Point Pleasant Beach. Also, can call up and order for pick up. Dinner reservations can be made for parties of... More

Spano's is the real deal! A wonderful, warm Italian restaurant near the beach. The food is outstanding and the portions are generous. The staff is friendly. They have a BYOB policy and will provide glasses for your wine. I highly recommend the lasagna.

Food is excellent and large portions make for bags to go home. The pastas are wonderful as is their veal and chicken.

The food was very delicious. I had range Eggplant Parm and my husband Chicken Parm. Both were great. We had the Arancini balls and they were great as well. Staff was on point.

The motel recommended this place and it was great. They do not take reservations so expect a long wait, but it is well worth it. Also BYOB so don't expect a bar. There is none The food is fantastic and portions are large. Best to share. The antipasto salad is enough for a meal alone. Cannot wait to go back.

We had a great time. The service was excellent and quick. The bruschetta in the beginning was a nice starter. My wife and I had the pasta fagioli and bisque soups. The flavor was great but a bit salty. The pasta fagioli had a little heat too. We got the spiedini alla romana which was pretty good but again a... More

My wife, grand-daughter and I arrived at 6:45 and were immediately seated. On the way out, there was a line waiting to be seated. The portions were generous. Our salads were promptly served and the dressings(Blue cheese and Italian) were good. My wife finished half of the veal parmigiana and my grand-daughter had the childrens chicken fingers and fries(it was... More

I've been to Spanos a few times now and I definitely think it is one of the best Italian in the area. I love eggplant rolintini and it is by far the best here. Highly recommend!

My girlfriend and I decided to give this place a second chance after dining here a month earlier. Our first visit we were not impressed with the dinner. I ordered minestrone to start and it was too thick . For my main meal I order a veal dish that was smothered in cheese and sauce. The portion was large but... More

My husband and I went to dinner there tonight with our 9 month daughter. We had the spindini and mozzarella tower appetizers. They were both delicious. For dinner, my husband had linguine with clam sauce, I have fettuccine a la Franco. Both were very good and the portions were huge. We both took leftovers home. Our daughter loved the spaghetti... Description
Spano's Ristorante Italiano is a wonderful little store front restaurant just like you see in Brooklyn, with a quaint interior featuring oversized comfy booths and Italian music to complete the ambiance. The restaurant gets bustling after 6pm, and on weekends there can be quite a wait. The good news is they're open 7 days a week, so you can get the same amazing food on Tuesday without a wait. Speaking of the food, its authentic old world Italian prepared by Chef Joseph Spano. All ingredients are fresh, never frozen...fresh local fish and seafood, the highest quality veal, cut and pounded daily for the Veal dishes, Same with the chicken and eggplant, all prepared fresh daily. Spano's marinara sauce is the original winner of the Boss of the sauce contest sponsored by a local radio station and featuring all of the Shores Italian restaurants, as voted by a panel of judges and the general public. All of our ravioli, cheese filled, lobster, and specialty (like roasted butternut squash, or Osso Bucco) are handmade. They make the dough, they make the filling, and they stuff and cut each ravioli by hand. The portions are oversized, and the prices are very reasonable. They have an extensive menu and use only Certified Angus Beef, many of the dishes can be seen on their Facebook page at spanosristoranteitaliano and they open daily at 4pm. 7 days a week. With homemade desserts like the NY cheesecake, tiramisu, bread pudding and apizza dolce (Italian ricotta cheesecake) and delicious Cappuccino to finish off your meal, you can't go wrong at Spano's!
