Food is great, service very good. Busy place, but worth the wait. Its BYOB as well. Go a little early to beat the crowds. Reservations accepted for over 8 I think.

Get there before 6pm or after 8pm if you don't have a reservation- place is packed 6:30-7:45pm- can be up to an hour wait for a table. Don't forget BYOB- I recommend a Chianti or Cab for the hearty southern Italian menu-wine store 1/4 mile away on the same block. Now for the food: Party of 4- We ordered Zia... More

Joe Spano is a great Italian cook pushing out food that is tasty and hot with a signature fragrance. Good food, good price, worth the wait unless you're a local and can wait for off season.

We love this place. You just can't go wrong but the chicken parm is my favorite, and don't even think you can finish it.

I ate at Spano's tonight and was completely disappointed with the food plus more importantly the staff. Since there were no gluten and dairy free options on the menu, I ordered the Seafood Fra Diavolo over spinach. The dish came with mussels. After eating two of the mussels, I realized the mussels were bad and picked them out of my... More

We visited Spano's during a getaway to Point Pleasant Beach. The food was delicious and plentiful. We brought out own wine and the waitress opened it as soon as we sat down! I have a ton of food allergies, and the staff was sure to double check the ingredients of everything, and make it according to my dietary needs. My... More

This little gem of a restaurant is a wonderful place to eat. It is a BYOB restaurant. You need to make reservations because it is always busy. It is a bit pricey, but the food and service make it worthwhile.

Been going to Spano's for a long time and have never once been disappointed. Sometimes there's a little wait to get a table, especially on weekends but well worth it. Decent pricing with large portions. Great atmosphere right in downtown Point Pleasant Beach. Also, can call up and order for pick up. Dinner reservations can be made for parties of... More

Description
Spano's Ristorante Italiano is a wonderful little store front restaurant just like you see in Brooklyn, with a quaint interior featuring oversized comfy booths and Italian music to complete the ambiance. The restaurant gets bustling after 6pm, and on weekends there can be quite a wait. The good news is they're open 7 days a week, so you can get the same amazing food on Tuesday without a wait. Speaking of the food, its authentic old world Italian prepared by Chef Joseph Spano. All ingredients are fresh, never frozen...fresh local fish and seafood, the highest quality veal, cut and pounded daily for the Veal dishes, Same with the chicken and eggplant, all prepared fresh daily. Spano's marinara sauce is the original winner of the Boss of the sauce contest sponsored by a local radio station and featuring all of the Shores Italian restaurants, as voted by a panel of judges and the general public. All of our ravioli, cheese filled, lobster, and specialty (like roasted butternut squash, or Osso Bucco) are handmade. They make the dough, they make the filling, and they stuff and cut each ravioli by hand. The portions are oversized, and the prices are very reasonable. They have an extensive menu and use only Certified Angus Beef, many of the dishes can be seen on their Facebook page at spanosristoranteitaliano and they open daily at 4pm. 7 days a week. With homemade desserts like the NY cheesecake, tiramisu, bread pudding and apizza dolce (Italian ricotta cheesecake) and delicious Cappuccino to finish off your meal, you can't go wrong at Spano's!
